ATI Radeon HD 4850 vs. Nvidia 9800GTX+

[Erfinjerfin]

Which one is better? I can't find a comparison, so I thought I'd maybe ask you guys.

4850...I believe.

Could be wrong. I'll look up some benchmarks when I get back from dinner.

+1 for the 4850

The 9800GTX+ is now the GTS 250 I believe. Performance is similar, but the 4850 has the edge. Not sure if you'd notice a big diff between the two. Price is similar. Also consider if your motherboard supports SLI or xfire as that could be a cheap way to upgrade video in the future as prices on these cards fall.

Yea, Nvidia keeps changing their naming scheme. It's annoying -.-

Even I can't keep up with it, lol.

Here is a good review of the 4850 that compares it to the 9800 GTX+ as well as a bunch of other cards. I don't think the techreport review posted earlier has the 9800 GTX+ in it, just the 9800 GTX.
