Ok first off, its been a while since i have posted here. :D

Second off, I was wondering if anyone has seen the website where the guy made modifications to his xbox 360 case to fit a computer inside of it? or something along the lines of that. I know i saw it, but i cant seem to find it. So basically, im just wondering if people have seen it, if they could help me find it :P

I know that you guys are probably thinking, wow that sounds like a stupid idea. Well, IMO, i think it would be really cool to have a compact computer inside your xbox case, given the correct cooling and what not.

I feel like i am rambling on and on, so ill quit now.

One more request, please dont post and say something along the lines of "it would be stupid to try to do this." Im not looking for a post like that. I just want to know what i have stated above

I havent seen that but i have seen the portable xbox thing. However i have seen someone on this forum, i believe that made an old NES console into a working computer. Im sure it wouldnt be all that difficult, it would be like using a low profile case, to build your comp in.

yeah thats what i was thinking too. Although i have been looking around newegg, its hard to find everything that would be low profile and sized correctly to make it fit

shouldn't be a problem, mini atx mobo w/vpa built in
or you could rip apart a bare bones like a shuttle pc

ill look around (this?)

this isnt really what youre looking for but theres a vid of it on youtube and t might have a link in the comments or the description, to do this the easiest way would be to go to somewhere like http://www.ncix.com and buy the peices, find the mother board that fits. if i could do it i would but i dont really feel like buying a new motherboard. :(

see something like what slusserjon put up there would be nice :D the only trouble i could think of for something like this, would be a power supply. and i guess getting everything to fit inside there, without causing too much heat. I think that Atom would do well. It would be a computer i could just hop on the internet quick, check some thinks and hop off. Nothing too beefy, cause it all has to fit inside the case :D

EDIT:

FINALLY after searching around for quite some time i found the original site of where i got the idea

http://www.freewebs.com/electric0ant/xbox360pc.htm

^^ check it out, im planning on doing that one day

Just what i wanted, my PC to get a RRoD.. NO THANKS !!

-_-

it wouldnt do that... cause the RRoD is in the xbox "OS"

The worst thing that could happen would be a total meltdown (literally) of your case. then you just have a mess, and a bunch of money down the drain. Which would be worth it in my opinion.

omg OMG

i just thought of something, you could rip apart a laptop and stuff it inside, would be alot more powerful since laptop components are proprietary and made to be small

hahah yeah that could work too... i just dont have a laptop to rip apart, but it would definitely work. Atleast for the 15 seconds i thought about it.

hey arnot, believe it or not, i do have a p4 3.2 ghz cpu w/ ht tech that is sittin in my closet, not to mention a really decent heatsink that should def keep it cool. so all ud have to do is get an empty 360 casing & ill be more than happy to sell ya the cpu + heatsink, ya just need to get a small enuff mobo to fix the 360 & will work w/ the cpu, & ur set!!

a xbox 360 labtop would be freaking awesome.

currently i dont have any money, and even if i did... this is a project that is a long ways away. and i think if i would go with something, it would be an Intel Atom processor. Smaller = less heat = less chance of something causing a total meltdown

i did the xbox thing myself with a buddy a while back , it works out great , infact i used the same guide that i think you are mentioning
