How does the ranking work?

Hello guys,

I wonderd how our ranking works at the moment, this is because my rank drops and so does my skill, but my in-game score is not bad at all. Can someone tell me how the skill thingy works?

I know there will be a new rankingmethod soon, but for now the old one still works so i just wanted to know...

Ye, i know about them, but i thought it said it will probably be working by december. It's august now. Or is it already introduced?

It's probably because you lose 3% of your skill points for every day that you don't play.

alright.. so i know that now.. but is the new ranking system already up or not.. Or is that a stupid question to ask

No, the new ranking system is not up yet. The current one uses a ridiculously over complicated system used to rank chess players for tournament play. The most important thing determining your rank are objectives and the skill level of the people you kill. I.E. if someone with a skill of 800 kills you, you are going to lose points, but if you kill someone with a skill level of 1800, you're going to gain points. It's a very nasty system that can reward the wrong people at times, but its still fairly accurate.

I keep losing kills, and so does Kangaroo...we had like 2,8k with springfield...then suddenly we below 2k...and Ryu is first with 3,3k or something....why?
