Why the Engie is so good.

I love the Engie for a couple reasons.

1) You get to build machines that kill people.
2) You can trick people with teles (ODM knows what I'm talking about)..
3) You can build a machine hide behind a wall and watch people die.

What's not to like?!

Yeah, engineer is the best suited class for the lazy like myself. However its not some "set it and forget it" type deal. You have to know the critical sentry locations, help other engis build etc. Its a real fun class and coupled with few other good engis, they can maintain a great defense and a headache to the other side. :facewall:

True story.

From a hardcore engineer to all those who aren't: Don't ever tell an engineer to build his teleporter exit when you see an offline entrance by your spawn. He knows what to do, and odds are he's currently wrenching on a gun, dispenser, or spy in order to secure the frontline so that you can teleport safely to it. That's one of my big pet peeves as engineer..."OMG BUILD YOUR TELE EXIT GOSH!" :facewall:

Yeah, I'm not too great at picking sentry spots, but sometimes that works better because the "expert" enemies don't expect me. This works well on Black Mesa. And I help other engineers more than I build my own stuff :O

Love when this happens, perfect set up for my stab and sap...Nothing like an engi that sits still behind his sentry.

I whole-heartedly agree with Dingo... gotta love the stab and saps! But I do like playing engineer, but not for the buildings, but rather for the awesome weapon set!

Engineer is the only class where you can kill people by not doing anything, your SG does all the work, and if it dies you're still alive.

Lol, something funny happened yesterday on a 2Fort server, enemy sewers, I and 5 other engineers, I had a sentry and a dispenser, and guess what, a spy comes, sap my stuff, I keep fixing it, and all the other engineers fix MY stuff instead of killing the spy or fix any of their own stuff, made me angry ^^
