Just be positive, I know how you feel cause I went through it too, but trust me... Your making a big deal of a little thing. You'll realize how simple it was to change schools and soon enough you'll be back onto your average, boring school day.

Freshman year was the BEST year of high school for me. It's probably because of my specific circumstances, but just ENJOY every single minute of high school.
Do everything you can. Try sports, get involved in your school's student council, join a bunch of clubs. I made the mistake of doing none of that and I sorely regret it

Im not going to sit here and lie to you highschool for me was 4 years of torture. TBH it was never to difficult I got nothing lower then a C my entire 4 years. My senior year i missed a whopping 25 days of class= BAMF. They threatened to kick me out because i missed so much, and i was in 2 fights, but grades were good. My junior and senior year i really didnt have parents there to keep an eye on me so i basically woke up when i wanted to, and did what i wanted lol. So.....long story short as long as you get good grades you can do whatever you want : ). Oh and i forgot to say, enjoy your last 4 years of minimum responsibility.

LoL, just enjoy.....it goes by quick and at some point in your life you will miss it. Most of that freshman beatdowns went out the door years ago, but it depends on were you live and how crazy ppl are. If in Colorado, LoL run the other way if you here shots.......Joke............
In all honesty, the switch to high school is cake. You get more freedoms then you do in middle school. My best year was my freshman year as well.
I also noticed that your name is "bandgeek." If you're in band, that will help A LOT when it comes to settling in and meeting new people. I was in my high school's marching band for all 4 years and it helped me get established and meet new people right off the bat. Moral of the story is: Get involved in some kind of club or organization.
Oh and no one is going to take the beat down to you. Contrary to what's portrayed on tv, no one stuffs people into trashcans or lockers anymore. You shouldn't have any worries.

Just be yourself, meet new people, have fun , study hard, you will never forget those four golden years and before you know it youll have a mortgage, bills, kids........but ego will always be here!

I was such a dork in High School, I didn't even get along with my fellow bandgeeks.
Needless to say, not the best years of my life by a long shot. If it's good for you, great! If not, just remember that it's not permanent. Even though it was miserable, it made me the spunky little person I am today.
So, my advice: This too shall pass.

From what I remember of high school it was a really fun time. Sure there was plenty of suck involved, but overall it's a lot of fun. Now, I've been out of high school for a while and honestly only stay in contact with a few people, but my high school was a terrible, terrible place. It still was a lot of fun.
Things to keep in mind
More people mean more girls. The only draw back here is it might be even harder to concentrate and get your work done considering how high school girls dress these days. When I was in high school it was all big baggy sweatshirts and baggy jeans.
If you do something stupid or embarrassing, don't sweat it. Someone will do something even stupider or more embarrassing tomorrow, if not sooner.
Take all the elective classes you need to graduate in your first two years. I know we had to take like 2 years of a foreign language, sociology, and some other junk. Knock those out so in your junior and senior year you can take blow off classes and study halls. This will leave you more time to get your homework done in school so you can go out and do other stuff after school (or get a job which you'll need if you date a lot).
Try to line it up so you take drivers ed and will be ready to get your license as soon as you turn 16.
Get into trouble. Nothing too bad, but c'mon. You're only young once.

I agree to a point, definitely would not want to do it again but it is also the passing of an era, the end to the stage in your life with less worries and troubles, enjoy them as much as you can.
I'm graduating this year (June 13th) and all I have to say is keep good grades everything will go easier, STAY OUT OF DRAMA its not worth it, and you'll understand this once you get to high school but there are certain groups of girls you should stay away from.

Honesty, at first there's no difference from Middle School. Except maybe people panic over worthless drama more. Now when you hit sophomore, then it's going to feel a bit different. You will probably realize by then that you truly are in high school and you will begin to view things differently.
