Recommendation for a graphics card

HD 4870 I would recommend for that price.
Great card for bang for buck, I've seen them as low as $169.99 USD and that's not even including the rebates.

The card you have right now is still a very good card I have one and I am playing on it right now without and problems. If you are looking to upgrade anyways a 4870 is an awesome card but be sure you have the power supply, enough space cause technically its 2 GPU's in one , and the proper cooling/ventilation because it does heat up.

I checked out everything that everyone has posted.

But refering to whoever commented on m brother, he says its just super laggy to play COD WAW. Like, the game glitches and sometimes wont load. Hes very tech savvy compared to me,

ANyways, i know when Starcraft 2 comes out, i might need a new card. I dont think the 9800 is in my favor, but those one from the links will do (cant believe new games are gonna run on 256 bit...)

I wud try to get the GTX 260. there are some places where you can get it for a low price.

The dual GPU card is a HD 4870 X2 not a HD 4870 which is the single GPU card.

hmm... an 8800GTS is a pretty powerful gpu. I would just stick with that for a while. It is almost not worth upgrading yet.

I wholeheartedly agree. I went from an 8800GTX, to an 8800GTS (the X was having MASSIVE issues, and the one I received after RMAing had the same problem. had to be underclocked about 10% to not crash regularly on multiple rigs.) to a 4870x2, and by far, the GTS has been my favorite card. It's just hard to beat it bang for the buck, and there aren't a whole lot of titles out that are worth playing that it can't handle. If you wait, you'll be looking at a whole new lineup of cards that will push the prices down on the current mid-high end cards to the $125-200 range, making upgrading from the GTS a reasonable solution.
