ok, so has anyone actually experienced somthing bad from this thing? all ive heard is hype and no damage done to anything
kaspersky is not rated the best in the world..The worm is connected to a master server which send info everytime you go to listed sites such as paypal.com or your email, credit card website and collects info. So be very careful what you download from websites for the next few weeks. i would recommend purchasing kaspersky as it is rated the best in the world. The antivirus is well worth it.
I've seen this, unfortunately for me, it is too late. The emergency patch that was made my Microsoft could only remove the virus until today. The patch has been out for a few weeks, unfortunately...again, my eyes were elsewhere. Today is the day the virus kicked in, the patch has finished what it could for people. The current battle right now is under way with the "Cabal" who are simply trying to prevent and illegal activities that would spawn from the so called "zombie urls". I'm going to use my restore point tonight, which should take care of the virus, but if not, yes, I will execute a complete formate.
