Okay, so I may have missed this, but does eGO have a Twitter feed? If so, I'd like to subscribe. I searched, but couldn't didn't find one.

Of course, this would also beg the question, what would one post in an eGO Twitter feed... ?

Twitter may be misunderstood, despised, etc... but it's also a great marketing tool and powerful for the dissemination of information. Plus, it's a great way to find out what Neil Gaiman does from day to day.

I'd much rather have a weekly news cast that someone was talking to council about. That'd be much more interesting than Twitter.

And Flippy, my word on this isn't official. I just hate Twitter, we talk about it CONSTANTLY in one of my Marketing Classes.

Yeah. I know. I've always been one who's very interested in seeing what's going on inside the industry, and back when game developers were posting .plan updates regularly, I'd devour them every chance I got.

Now, Twitter sorta does the same thing. In fact, during this conversation, I became curious if Valve has a twitter account, and it appears that they do, but I can't seem to get to it.

In theory, it's at http://twitter.com/ValveSoftware, but either the account is disabled, been deleted, or something weird is going on here.

Regardless, should this be something that eGO ever investigates, I'll be first in line to follow http://twitter.com/edgegamers

EDIT: It's also where Shacknews gives away free stuff on occasion. That's full of win.

Right there with you. I dont have a twitter, facebook, or myspace account now, nor have I ever. I tend to like my privacy and not have everyone know what Im doing. I also tend to not care what everyone else is doing for the most part. Could jsut be that Im an unsociable introvert

I've quit the myspace and the facebook due to too many people I want nothing to do with finding me on them. I just started the twitter a couple weeks ago and have to say, it's kind of entertaining. See if there are any celebs on there that you're a fan of and just read the goofy crap they write throughout the day. So far Brent Spiner and Steve Agee have been rather entertaining. I've tweeted maybe 10 times and since I only have 2 friends following me on there, it kind of serves as a three way chat room for us when we're out and about on our phones texting.

Yeah, can anyone actually name a good reason?

Already have steam, vent, and shoutbox for this. If you aren't at your computer, getting a twitter about someone needing help in a sever really won't do much... cause you're not at a computer... and if you are at your computer, you don't need twitter.
