COOLER MASTER COSMOS 1000 RC-1000-KSN1-GP Black/ Silver Steel ATX Full Tower Computer

lol $190 for a case?!?!? im just wondering why do people pay so much for a lil box that u arent even gunna stare at..unless u are fixing it! just buy the ones that are 30-60 dollars! just saying!

If you have a big video card (like a GTX 260) you will want a larger case, at least a mid-tower IMO. This is for a few reasons:

1. The card has to fit in the case.

2. Those cards get hot and you need enough airflow around them.

However, I don't think you need a full-tower unless you have some crazy raid array or 5 optical drives.

I have the gtx 260 and my case is a cooler master 690 and it is 79.99. This is the link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119137

So far i love it.

I think Metro explained it good enough.
Nice case, great company.

I own an RC-1000, and I can honestly say, no matter what the cost, it's worth it.

The rails on the top and bottom are great. You can use them for handles. They are attached to the chassis and even if they loosen up, you can tighten the screws. The tool less features are awesome. The case comes with an extra fan housing, which goes ontop of where your hard drives sit. If you plan on using more than 2 cd drives (I don't know why you would though), you won't be able to use it. The vents on the bottom are great, they prevent a lot of the dust from getting into the case. Also, sitting here with it running, you can barely tell it's on. I really love the sound damping material on the side panels.

I could go on and on, if you're thinking about buying one, you won't regret it.

I would suggest this case,Cosmos 1010

Let me ask you this.. Why? You are paying extra for what? A side fan? They took the sound damping material off to put on one fan. You won't need the extra circulation. The 1010 doesn't come with the VGA channel, which makes a HUGE difference in terms of cooling. Trust me, I took it out and it made a 20 degree difference. I am running an Intel Core 2 Quad with this heatsink, and I really don't think you will need the extra cooling.

Ok... then the 1000 is an awesome case.

On a side note, If you do a search for Cosmos 1000 on Youtube some guy did a review on the Cosmos 1000. He does a good job explaining pros and cons.

I don't think the 1010 is worth the extra money to get one fan. You lose my favorite part of the whole case, which is not being able to tell that it's running.

All you need to know about the Cosmos 1000

I have it and I can vouch for it 100%. I can barely hear my Radeon 4850 (slim card) when the fan is running 100%

The Cosmos 1000 is amazing.

I bought the case and hate it with a passion. I love the tool less and sleek design but man for cooling this thing was terrible. I still have the case which i am trying to get rid of. I went with an Antec 1200. Couldn't be happier.

Plain and simple the air flow for this case was just retarded. One intake and from the bottom? no air going into the HDD cages from the outside. There is a fan on top but it steals what air the system already gets from that one Intake in the bottom. The other intake is for the PSU which was great imo.

Then the 1010 is for you.

There's a vent below the hard drives. There's also a place for a 120mm fan (and the neat plastic housing) just above the hard drives. Grab another 120 fan and put it there and you have HDD cooling. Easy as pie.

More space for upgrade.
Better airflow to all the components.
Look good too :D
And space to use water/liquid cool.

Yes, newegg, awesome place, if you guys want to save a bit more money, I suggest you get money and buy pieces n parts, and put them together to one, like my home built computer, made with the latest Intel Processors, The New Age of Nivida's Graphics Cards, and a sound card I do not remember where it came from, and regular drives, Cross-Hair Motherboard n etc.
Also the best way for a computer to stay cool and healthy or whatever is water cooling system, I have one for my computer, and it is working fantastic.

Also, try to upgrade your computer to handle it before you get... like me 2 video cards duel linked.
Now I'm having to repair I didn't have to do if I downloaded the update.

Good Hunting...
Also if you're looking for good computers, they are the names that aren't huge companies, my any professor could tell you that.

iBuyPower for the win.

Try to bypass 64 bit systems.

I would suggest this case,Cosmos 1010. There is an extra fan for the CPU.

The CM 690 has (by my count) more fans than a Cosmos and it has one on the back of the CPU which is surprisingly effective.

...and I really don't think you will need the extra cooling.

Going back to what Sushi said, I think the Cosmos cases go past the point of functionality and is just there for looks. Although I can't deny that have better sound insulation, a little fan noise, to me, is not worth $140. And you can ALWAYS use extra cooling. :)
