Though I must say that a good job was done on making the M1 Rifle. The first time the spoon when SPING I was pretty happy. Of course, then the german came around the corner with his k98k and killed me while I was reloading.

I've stuck mainly with the K98k since I started playing DoD, back when Caen had tanks that you could climb into, and the bandage command was part of the game. My love has been for the ability to bayonet the guy in front of you, then to shoot his mate behind him. Ever since I mastered that I have been a K98k fan. Of course, I had to learn not to right-click in Source when they got close to me ... nothing worse than bringing up the iron sites when in melee with your opponent. :/

I always use K98 whenever I can because after you get accurate enough you basically have to be triple teamed or snuk up on to be killed

I like the M1, if im on axis and i kill somebody with a Garand I am taking his gun. I hate the k98, too slow for me.

Now if only the US rifleman used a carbine instead of a Garand i would be 100% happy.
