I try to keep myself up to date with what's going on. I make it a habit to read every new Request/Contest Ban. I may be wrong but it seems this happens a lot lately. I see a lot of posts where they try to blame it on a sibling or other family member. They may be right, it may be their brother, but at the same time it could just be that they don't want to accept responsibility for their actions.

In my personal opinion, I don't think someone should be shown mercy because of something their sibling or family has done. If they aren't smart enough to keep their siblings or family off their stuff or at least say something to them about the rules. I don't know, I just see it as a scape goat.

tbh i think if they say this, let me be banned for 2 weeks. let them off, and if it happens again permenant ban them, so its like giving them a second chance and if they blow it they dont pass go and go directly to jail lol.

i got family member in eGO his name is Drunken sailor and he is my brother in law but if i got banned he wouldn't really help me get unbanned.... he would leave me to myself to get me unbanned lol

But he is a good family member and cool too

lol that is nice but not really what this thread is about . Its about family members or friends using your account and misbehaving or doing somethign that will get you banned. Using the excuse that a family member was using your account will not help you.

P.S. I wish i had a family member in eGO but im th eonly person in my family, extended or immediate, that plays games. I have an older brother who is 26 who doesnt play games, and all my cousins are girls who don't play games.
I'm trying to get my GF into gaming and although im making progress, its a ways off....One day.

REMEMBER as a member with admin status, if someone else is in eGO servers they need to be wearing a guest tag (if using your account)... this by no means relinquishes you from their actions however.

but i have had my brother ask me to play and i have straight up said no...

I know what happens if he gets on he has a mouth which wouldn't help him being on my account lol but he doesn't go on.

If you are worried about his behavior, do not let him play on an eGO server. Also, if he enters another server, remove the ego tag from his name. If he is going to misbehave, we do not want him representing eGO in the process. But if he can behave then by all means come and game on our servers. I just dont want to see a respectable member get banned because of his brother/sister.

my 2 brothers and i are the only ones have Steam. sometimes my little sister comes on usually when im off to do something for a bit while waiting for loading to finished (my connection sucks...), then she plays for a bit after the loading until i get back. sometimes she'll go and play Gmod since its her fav.

im the only daughter that is a gamer but not the only child (of course).

Another way you could combat this is, before you let them on, they probably won't be die hard TF2 players that use the console, so why not unbind the letters to speak, and type if you htink they might cause hassle. After they are done, rebid the letters.

In my personal opinion, I would do this for anyone who asked. If you are mature enough to come to me first with this information, then you are someone who belongs in this clan and i would hate to see that effected by a sibling.
