Highschool Events

I dunno if this is out of line, and please put me in my place (looked on the pinned division discussion boards for non-appropriate threads) Is there any possible way that events would ever be on a different server than the highschool server? it just seems like the people who don't really play highschool or like it are sort of left out.

I dunno if I just speak for myself when I say I think it would be really cool if there were some Dust2 or Office events as well.
Again if this is something that is just not changable sorry for the thread, shut'r down.

The events are played on the High-school server but the map is rarely High-school. I believe we play them there so not to disturb the more popular servers: Dust 2, Office and Jail.

Well I dunno if this is a recent abnormalty but I think Highschool is just as popular. maybe not as Dust2 which always seems to be populated for some strange reason.

We use the highschool server to play different maps panda but i get what you're saying make a d2 or office event whihc isnt a half bad idea

The events may be over on the high school

but last event i was at they changed the map to some street one. I don't remember the name

BUt im pretty sure they don't play on the map H.S. I think it changes

We have less room on our box. Normally, our servers run 4 32-man servers per box, however, with how many slots the Css servers take up, its the equivalent to running 5 servers. An event server would make that 6 servers, causing more lag.

High school is used because our events don't fill the whole server up. It does not make sense to run an event that only 20-30 people will attend on a 44 man server that can stay populated by itself. It makes no sense to limit our capability. Also, this helps bring High school up in numbers for the server rankings and people will see that it has a lot of people when an event is over and the server is open again to the public.

and alot of non ego members do play on the other servers i noticed that mostly ego members play on highschool

cuz can't the ppl hosting the event easily change the map to dust2 or office???

Yeah I know a lot of that does make really good sense. to be completely honest I didn't know there was a map change for some events, I'm just not a huge fan of the actual highshool map so I thought it would be cool to actually hold some events on De_Dust2 or CS_Office. but if thats being done on the highschool server then I'll be attending a lot more events. Also I didn't mean open a whole new event dedicated server, the last thing I would want is for a more trouble-some solution to a question that has already been answered, I wasn't sure what the policy was for map changes. I assumed 24/7 highschool went for events as well thanks for clearing that all up!

So would I, but I assume just as I have a love for office, others would have a love for highschool, so I was curious as to if events were held on highschool because what if highschool players don't want to participate in an office event? instead they rather just play highschool. was confused on the matter.

well maybe if we had an admin interested we could run some sort of eGO/Pub, fun night, with like all pistol rounds and stuff like that right on the office server. Again I'm stepping way out of boundaries and we'd have to talk to division leader.
