A Note from Old Timer's Clan.

Yesterday evening was the Fortress Forever event. We picked a nearly empty server, Old Timers #5 Fortress Forever, and proceeded to fill it up, Standing Room Only (had about 14 members in at the peak, with people waiting for slots).

In any case, after the event, I decided to go into their forums and say thanks for their server that we essentially took over . I thought I would share with you guys the response I received from one of their admins.

Note, Old Timers are even more strict on their server rules than we (!) and have a very low membership of admins, requiring everyone to be invited and then voted on by the group. So they're serious about their servers:

I saw you guys in the server last night but was watching the kids, so I couldn't come in to say "Hi".

Welcome to the servers, it's good to see Edge in here. =(eG)= AzzNik used to be a regular in our environment, but we haven't seen him for quite some time. In the last 4 years we've seen 211 edge gamer members and have never once kicked, banned, or even muted one of you. It's nice to have another gaming environment that blends in with other communities and doesn't try to recruit from our servers. You'd be surprised how many groups come in with the intent to garnish new members. Welcome to the environment, you guys are welcome anytime.

I'll definitely try to be at the next one. Finally sat down and played this last night. First map I played was Avanti, and like 7 years later I still know my way around the map. Kinda like how in the first level of Super Mario Bros, everyone knows where that hidden 1UP is. But yeah anyway, its such a nostalgia rush.
