wanna hear something scarry? I was on a plane headed back from NYC just one day before 9/11.

wow i was like in 4th or 5th grade. its really sad what happened. im sorry to every one who lost someone or knew someone who lost someone or anyway that someone died on those 4 planes(pentegon, pennslvania, twin towers) a teacher slowly walked in and was like "children do u know what the twin towers are?" and some of us nodded or disagreed but then she went on about what happened. a lot of people got out early.

btw yes they are building a new tower called the freedom tower where ground zero is. they suspened construction for today.

I know the day has passed but I need to say this and I know y'all are used to me cracking jokes but I've been a wreck all day and I need to speak:

I was a freshmen in high school when the attack happened. I remember walking into my 2nd period class and everyone was listening to Charlie Gibson give a report what was going on. One of my friends told me what had happened and I thought it was a joke. We found a tv and turned it on to the sight of the first tower falling. I was 15. I'm 21 now and I can honestly tell you I'm still not over it. I'm writing this with tears streaming down my face because any time I think about that day I lose control. It still feels like to me that I'm still outside in that hallway watching the towers fall and watching the Pentagon smoke. I don't want to 'get over' that day and I PROMISE every single one of you that as long as I'm breathing I'll still be that 15 year old boy outside in that hallway embracing his friends trying to find and provide comfort. And it's not because of what happened, it's because of what people did during and afterwards. The thought of hundreds of Police, EMS, fire fighters, port authority running up hundreds of flights of stairs to help their fellow man and regular workers carrying people down those flights of stairs is WHY this country is great and I'll go to my damn grave loving those brave men and women.

I know there are some soldiers and public servants here and I just want to say, from the bottom of this young mans heart - I love you guys.

bless all the victims of 9/11 and their families.. even thou i did not kno a single person killed in 9/11 i felt sad because of all da heartache it caused to all their friends and families.. i juss cant believe it happened.. i remember i was in 7th grade .. now im in first year in college.. seems like yesterday.. bless dem all.. and hope every single terrorist out there get wat dey deserve

I live in NYC and I still remember the confusion that day....
I was at the roof of my school with my classmates watching the smoke and we were just quiet...

Was in 8th grade at the time. I'm all the way on the west coast so it didnt nearly hit us as hard as it did on the east coast. but i still get sad when i think about it.

I still have a time magazine that was totally devoted to that day. that is really tough to flip through, its pretty graphic...

i know what you mean MoP i was a freshman when it happened too, and i can remember that day like it happened yesterday. My teacher thought it was a huge joke so she made us turn off the TV because she said it wasnt important. She really pissed a lot of people off that day. But also, that was part of why i joined the air force and why im so proud to serve our country is because i know theres poeple like you out there that appretiate what we do for our country. :)

since i got to a private school, we raise the flag and pray for all the people who passed away in the horrible tragedy that occured on sept. 11th
