Universally Hated Now?

Unfortunately, I've had to get in the habit of taking off my =(e)=? tag when I go onto other servers because of this crap. I've actually been banned from servers less than 20 seconds after connecting to then, just for having the tag. I mean, I don't mic spam, I don't drop f bombs and I abide by the rules. I don't see what the problem is, seriously.

I hope I don't offend anyone by doing this, but I play TF2 to unwind and I'm just trying to avoid any hostility, even though that hostility is baseless and ignorant.

Blllrgh.

And after that epic start, I move on to ze point.

Point being, there will always be people that are jealous of us. Because of that, either wear that tag with pride and laugh at the people mocking us, or just stick with the eGO servers like I do. I have no interest in people on other servers questioning my sexual preferences etc. just because I am a part of this awesome community.

When they say that to me, I tell them the truth. I am proud of being an eGO member. If they don't like it, so be it. But as you said this only happened to me as an e...

I wish no such thing. If anything, I would like to try and sway their mindset of what eGO is. I can tolerate the ignorant hate-speeches long enough to Dominate someone and then tell them that their bigotry gets in the way of skill. If anything, I hope to redeem our name on some of the servers that dislike us.

As for playing on just our servers, ours are usually full and I can't get in. On a rare occasion I will refresh the list and two spots will be open, but that doesn't happen often.

I am glad you don't want to take the tag off Deathbot, I am like that as well. It bugs me alot that others take it off. But again its a rule =eGO= has and so be it. ( I just don't understand why someone would want to take it off on purpose)

As for other servers the only server I have ever experienced any problems with that was "Easy Company Server" The head honcho thought I was recruiting on his server he said he is sick of =eGO= recruiting on his server. And banned my sorry butt. His accusations are untrue of course, I recruited a guy who plays on their server but it was on STEAM and steam only. He doesn't own anyone anyways SO let others know don't go into the Easy Company Server or any server that is jealous of =eGO= plan and simple

So remember we as =eGO= members are always going to have a few peeps dislike us for various reasons, just remember how we play and act and of course we are the WORLDS #1 CLAN period. So treat everyone you play with respect and wear the tag proudly

If you ever meet an =eGO= member that acts like an idiot, one thing to think of first is "IS he/she a real member"? And if he/she is a member of =eGO= then that peep shouldn't be wearing the =eGO= tag.

Welcome to the Clan SGT

the only server i can play on without being yelled at cursed at for being in our clan, is Beer clan cause i know all of them and the darth servers, cause they used to be good friends XD so i go on there with my tag n they like wat up homie so its all how you know people and make friends with there admin and u wont get much problems :) but thats the situation i been in, and also if you like those other servers just take ur tag off for now u be aight lol :)

It reminds when i was on a non-eGO server, i stabbed a very bad spy and he shouted "Stupid noob =(e)= spawn camper!"

So would you recommend to stay in the =(eGO)= servers instead of playing other places
(p.s.) I will be getting TF2 soon so i hope to see you guys in there =)

The only non-eGO servers I go into are modded servers (gun game, etc) and I haven't had any problems.

I act the same exact way as I do on eGO servers and haven't been met by any hostility, at least not directed at my affiliation with eGO.

Personally, I would carouse different servers. No Heroes has a very good CP and Payload server that I really enjoy playing on because I get along with two admins there, but they have a ping restriction and I almost always get kicked because of my 250 ping when they require less than 125.

Regardless, play some eGO servers, play some non-eGO servers and see which you prefer. Just remember that you will find it a bit more difficult to score kills while on eGO servers than others.

Lol this kind of stuff make's me laugh first of all don't forget for those who trash talk about you being a eGo member is because maybe in the past they Got thier @ss kicked from one of the member or we have Skilled player's and it frustrate's them so you should be proud of the tag and be positive they are many people out there who likely join the eGo team to trash the Community and destroy server reputation lol. In real life we have riot but when it come's to virtual gaming trust me they are some looser gamer's who just like to start riot in different servers.

I think that if you wear =(e)= it is more possible that someone is starting to pother you because some guys know that =(e)= means you're not an admin!

I have encountered two trolls in two weeks, which both knew that "He is not match to me, he is not even an admin!".

ya but dont let them get your down just realise you got all of us here to game with and dont need there insults and rude comments i say just stick with what u like :)

I too have experienced hostility towards eGO and have stopped playing on other servers all-together. I was once server hopping with a friend that I like to heavy medic with and a guy on the mic said "oh no, we have a member of eGO on our team. We're going to lose because we have a damn eGO member on our team." I couldn't believe what he said, and if that wasn't enough, he went on to say that we were "the Nazi clan."
I left the server and went to a different one. I was a G at the so I don't think it's all on the e's. I have also had e's come up to me to express their concern with something like this, I have said that they're "punks" and not to let them effect their view of eGO.

Hahaha. Twice I have heard that we are the "Nazi Clan" in the past week. Fortunately, one of the servers I was banned from has lifted the ban. I got into a CP game for a few hours last night with two admins (two that voted to ban me, mind you) from the server I was banned from.

At first, they both spammed their mic with the normal eGO hate and they said they muted me. Maybe one of them did, but one didn't or they unmuted me half-way through the game. By the end, they were complimenting me in the way I was commanding the team, so on and so fourth. A little bit after I left the server, I got a PM from one of them who said they talked it over with the other admins and they have agreed to lift my ban and I am welcome in their servers anytime.

Like I said, even small vibrations can level walls, but it takes time and I am an extremely patient man.

I have been playing DoD for a little over two years now. When I found the eGO servers and started playing in them I noticed the maturity of the people who were playing, the quickness of the admins to correct, but do it politely nevertheless. I have played in other servers that were populated with foul mouths, indecent sprays, and just downright ugliness in general. It is always enjoyable to come into an eGO server, knowing that I can play and not have to have to worry about junk like that.
I have played in servers with my tags in place, and have not been give grief about them. I wear them proudly and will not take them off. If I am asked to remove them, I politely say no thank you and leave.
The eGO servers are also a place that I feel are safe enough to let my teenage son play, and not have to worry about it. That says something about a group. Good job eGO.

they are just haters. dont let it get to you. i play insurgency and css and i always play eGO servers in css but in insurgency sometimes ill go to a usmc server. they are also great people and very respectful. they just dont like you because they want to be you but cant

I have read most of the posts in here but I have to start out by saying Stg, that is very commendable, the fact that you, knowing it might bring you grief, refuse to remove your tags outside of our servers and would like to do your best to represent our clan in the best way possible is very respectable.

You know the clan, you know our rules and if you want to do your best to represent us and what we stand for to the fullest extent the only thing I can tell you is that's wonderful.

On the main topic at hand, no matter what arena or what part of life, people who strive for a certain level of respectfulness and good attitudes will always be met with resistance from those who believe it is their given right to be crude and uncouth. Don't sweat it as I'm sure you don't, enjoy the game and hopefully when you do play in our servers I'll be able to come in to tf2 and have a friendly game with you :-p

see you around,

BLT

Thanks a lot BLT and everyone else who has supported me thus far.

Last night I was able to sway the mind of one incredibly angry and foul-mouthed person who spewed unfounded hate for over an hour at me. When he left the server and the maps finally cycled back to the one he was on, he was back in there again. Thinking I would be met with the same yelling and screaming as before, I greeted him in a way that one would greet a long lost relative or old high school friend/flame. He started out with an angry tone to his voice and paused. He then said "You know what, I'm not mad at you Deathbot, I just don't like eGO for my own reasons and I don't feel I will take it out on you anymore. I'm sorry and I will try to hold my tongue when I see other eGO members."

The rest of the game was rather enjoyable in that server. I'm also glad that I have the rest of the eGO (not only TF2) community backing me up with this. I shall continue to play in the servers I like and hopefully I can influence others to change their mind about what eGO is and what it means to be a part of the community.

I only read the first post and did not read the replies. A true eGO member would only play on eGO servers, that's my opinion. But it's true, ESPECIALLY IN TF2, all of the =e= members that are playing outside of the eGO servers are disrespectful. Everyone on this site is against it, but we can't control our members in other servers. It is a good idea, while you're an =e=, to take off that tag when you're joining other servers. It does kinda give us a bad reputation, but there's nothing we can do.
