How do you feel about stickies on the grate in 2fort?

(I L :w00t: V E them)

I used to hate them. But I find it easy to kill demos camping grates on 2fort now. Actually, I still hate them.

Grate camping is the only way I get kills when I play demo. :P

Haha you too. D:
I do that if we need the base protected or if we're building sentries there and the engys need protecting. Otherwise I'm bouncing 'round the map with the soldier.

I love them because when spies run into sap your SG they explode into pieces, gives me a good laugh.

Well I love them on defense but hate playing offence - but thats part of the game

I like it, but I dislike how people camp up there the whole game and don't leave that spot -_-

What are those?

I am not sure if you are joking or not, but I'll answer anyway :)

1. You go to your own grate in 2fort.
2. You put sticky bombs on your grate.
3. You wait til a careless player (or better yet, group of players) are passing by.
4. You detonate.
5. They die.
6. You taunt.
7. You are never the same :w00t:

Repeat until a good demo or soldier can counter.

Hope that explains. If you need an example, come to the regular 2fort server, I'll be happy to show you

LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!! If you dont like em dont play 2fort lol.....there are certain things that are just inevitable....Stickies on the grate is one

Hate 'em. Although I LOVE killing a grate-camping demo.

Grate-camping demos contribute to the most fundamental problem with 2Fort: turtling. If we really need defense, then I don't mind a demo stickying the grate. But otherwise, he needs to help push out and get us back on offense. A demo that does nothing but camp the grate, to me, ranks up there with medics that spend most of their time healing snipers and heavies that stand around eating sandviches.

Nothing is more frustrating than being on a team that has 5 engies, 4 snipers, and a couple of demos doing nothing but camping the grate or the courtyard. That happens more often than it should, and it leaves only 5 people on offense. And really, you need a couple of medics to have a successful offense. Now you only have 3 people playing purely offensive classes. That's without the team having any spies.

So demos, come off the grate once in a while and help get the offense going!

I hate grate stickies, but they can be defeated pretty easily. I'm more of a fan of flying up onto the enemy battlements and planting the entrenching tool into a snipers head.

I like (not love) them when being used to have a quick defense against a big group passing over the bridge, or when an enemy has taken the intel and is passing right by the grate. Not turtling.

I hate them when I die by them lol.

I think what you're talking about here is a hypothetical problem at most; I only ever see Demos grate-camp when their team has what I like to call an "Open Door" policy; their team has little to no defense and as a result enemy players are walking right into the middle of the base unchallenged. A Demo camping the grate provides a quick and easy, if not long lasting, solution to the problem and thus allows Engineers to set up and get the base defended properly.

2fort can be so boring because everyone just plays defence. These stickies irons out the only entry point where there isn't usually a sg, so, no, I am not a fan of cheap kills.
