I do not favor camping whatsoever. The first time I got killed by those stickies, I didn't think much of it...but dying that way about 7 times while trying to launch an uber, can become annoying.

As a demo player I will do the grate camping when there is no one watching the front door, or if the other team has a strong assault on the front door and can be deterred by the sight of a demo up on the grate and a bunch of stickies arranged like a necklace up there. It's a cheap and easy security system, but I'd rather push forward to kill sentries.

They're easy to kill. Explosives also damage people/objects ontop of the grate from below.
