In the console, type bind *key* jpeg, like bind F5 jpeg.
Next time you take a screenshot it'll be in jpeg-format. As for those .tga-screenshots you have, IrfanView can open them and convert them to jpeg.
oooor you could right click the screenshot
select open with
then hit paint....
it's just another format like jpeg
but TF2 uses .tga files for their sprays
something like that anyway
I remember when I had it happen
TF2 outputs its screen shots to .tga files by default. Not all image editing programs can handle those files. The easiest way to take care of this is to bind F5 to jpeg so that it outputs to a more common file.
Open your console, then type:
bind f5 "jpeg"
Anytime you want a screen shot, hit F5 and it'll put it out as a jpeg
If you want to switch your other files from .tga to jpegs, get something like irfanview and use it's batch conversion. It'll re-save all of the .tga files to jpeg files.
Or if you want, you can put all the tga's in a folder, compress to a .zip or .rar and e-mail them to me and I'll convert them to jpg's for you. I use Photoshop so I'm good to go.
I have another question in regards to recording. After I hit the key to take a screenshot or record a demo, where does it go? How do I find those files?
