Restricted weapons - Just A Reminder

I've only been asked once to give up a weapon class (MG42). Actually, I was told to give it up. With all due respect to the (e) clan, this guy was just flat out rude. He starts off by typing "Where the hell were you....we needed mg fire on the street!!!" So I told him that after clearing out the 2-story (Flash) of snipers with mg fire, I was jumped by three assaulters, of which I killed 2. So he just retorts with "If you're not going to use the mg properly....give it up!!!". I didn't know what his problem was. We started playing on the server about the same time, yet I had almost 40 flags more than him and I had the highest kill count. So it wasn't like I wasn't giving it my all to help my team out. Some people are just a mystery to me.

I just have to say I suck with all weapons so it doesn't matter what I carry. I will say if I see a MG or Scoped rifle laying on the field I will pick it up. But that being said maps are not won with "camping" classes. It is won with pressing "w" and running towards a flag.

the sniper is not a "camping" weapon if you use it properly...just saying

The point of this post was to remind everyone not to make rude comments to others that are holding up a class of course its okay to ask when someones done if you can use it but we dont want what happened to PIT to be repeated this clan is about maturity and respect it needs to be given in every aspect

Yeah it is about maturity and knowing that everyone has to start somewhere and just because you've been playing with the sniper rifle for 2 years it doesn't mean you should be the one to have it. It is a team game and it requires team effort. This post has a purpose and it's not to brag about how long you've held the sniper rifle and not allowed others to use it.

In that statement it is assumed that everyone who plays sniper knows how to play. Most Snipers and MGs have their Favorite Spot and can generally be found there every single time.

definately a sticky post. Honestly i think it may want to be put in as a punishable offence. the most we can really do is say "play nice". As for people holding on to the class for a long time even ego's, if you really want it that much,and cant wait, try one of our other 7 servers most likely you will find it there.

Personally, I don't ask for specific weapons any more. I start with rifle, and fall back on it if I can't get sniper, and periodically check to see if sniper is open. If I am not doing well with sniper that time, I drop back to rifle and tell the team it is now open.

I also use the "hey, look what I found" method of getting the weapon I want in game. That can sometimes end up with three (or more) mg42s in play, but that just makes things interesting.

The worst situation I had was playing assault-rifleman on Flash (i was at something like 16:30 for K). Sniper just happened to be open so I switched, and before I could even get to the second flag a couple people were complaining about how I need to give up sniper because my score sucked. I just ignored them (one was a pub, but I think one was also an eGO member) and proceeded to Dominate about 5 members of the other team, and bring my K ratio up to something like 5:3 in a very short time.

In short, play nice, be polite, and let the other guy learn the ropes. Asking politely for someone to switch is one thing, but telling them they don't know how to play and that they need to give up a weapon is just rude and, in my opinion, goes against the concept of what eGO is all about.

pshhhh!!! i don't need an MG or sniper... its much more satisfying to roll up behind someone with assault and POW!!!! Fist right to the head

When i was in a realism unit they made us learn with the rifle infact u were not allowed to use any other weapons besides the rifle inless you were at least a sgt. heres my point be happy u can choose atleast assault and other non resricted class weapons, perhaps u should start thinking that all the weapons fire bullets and if a person is not as good with that weapon they just need more time with it , just like we all did , i 100 percent agree with this post and perhaps we should all get back to the basics to do some refreshing on our shooting...
