NBA Playoffs

Your not kidding.

Dirk is only as good as he is because he's 7+ feet tall.
Put him in a small forward roll at like 6'8" and see how well he does there.

As for the nuggets, their winning because Dallas can't keep up. Plain and simple.
Kidd is ancient now, and is beginning to show his age. Josh Howard can't keep up like he normally can because of his two bad ankles, and neither Dirk nor Dampier are quicker then Nene or K-Mart.. I HAVE been very, VERY impressed with the playing of JJ Barrera. Dude is 5'8" and is taking the ball right at Nene, props to him.

I agree with much of what you are saying, especially the part about most of our players showing age/injuries. Also, JJ has also impressed me ALOT! Being that he is so short, he is not afraid to jump in front of any other person and show off his skills.

IMO, he is one of the ONLY Mavs that can keep up with the Nugget's relentless speed and fast pace gameplay.

Keep in mind I am a DIE-HARD (EMPHASIS ON THIS) Mav's fan, but they just need to trade down and get younger players and mold them to their game style. Slow and steady will work, as long as you have the players that can keep up with the other styles as well.

I say they trade Kidd and Dampier for some youth. You gotta give Dirk credit for his shot, no one shoots the ball better than him at his position and height. (not even Okur). The laker game yesterday was sad no matter what anyone says.

Agreed, or even start Jason Terry and trade away Kidd and/or Dampier.
I'm not sure who'd want Kidd at this point, everyone knows he's aging.

On another note;
How bout them Cavs?

Lol, although he IS aging... quickly, there are plenty of crappy teams out there that will be suckered into trading some youthful potential. and LOOOOVE Terry (went to my college). Dampier is getting older as well, however he still has plenty of skill/years left in him so the Mavs could get some good players for him as well.

OUCH said:

Couldn't agree with you more! He has an AMAZING shot that is unmatched by nearly ANY NBA player. The way he can pull back and jump up in anyone's face is sick. I say we keep him 2-3 years and then trade him while he is still really good, but not TOO old!

I decided after watching their game last night, that I love the way they play ball.
They play like the Suns used to when D'Antoni was in, and Shaq was out.. Fast.

the Chauncey/AI trade really helped the nuggets...end of an era at detroit though

mo and lebron just tearing it up
they look like the team to beat in the finals
i loved their heineken spoof commercial too

Dude honesly i hate the cavs. The leauge just wants Lebron to finally win a title so he gets the benifit of the doubt. I mean hes a good player but hes not better then D-Wade or Kobe. But for the playoffs im rooting for the Celtics or the Rockets

Eh, D-Wade isn't really as good as people make him out to be. He doesn't really have an outside game and is an injury-prone dribble/drive player. Kobe is already 30, and while he is still in his prime, he won't be around forever. LeBron is clearly the player of the future for the NBA, so I think it's ok if the NBA puts a little more attention on him than is necessary, though that's just me.

Well Celtics lost, bummer. :(

Hmm I think the Nuggets are going to give the Lakers a run for their money. What does everyone think?

hardcore laker fan here. lakers will win in 6 or 7 but lakers suck in denver especially with kobe's history there. i still believe orlando has a chance also

Today is Kevin Garnett's birthday....ROFL....have fun watching the lakers tonight. Its funny how they stop showing him on camera as Boston lost.

I personally want to see the Lakers face the Cavs, so everyone will stop debating who will dominate who, Kobe or Lebron. Who do you think will dominate more?

MY opinion:
Although I think in the end Lebron has more skill, I think Kobe will win because he has more of a heads up game style and knows what to do in more situation types. He has more experience and is basically a 2nd coach on the court, he communicates extremely well and knows when to dish it or take the shot. Lebron just needs more experience and more time to reach Kobe's level.

I think Lakers will win if they face Cavs because the last two meetings between the two teams, the Lakers including Kobe shut down Lebron's game. The second game especially...2nd game without Andrew Bynum, right after beating Boston, the Lakers beat Cavs in cleveland with Kobe guarding Lebron. Great match-up for the 21st century

depends if the play offensively like they did against an enforcer less houston
although i was wrong on the other two predictions :( , i got faith in the cavs (lots of big guys as well as a pretty good offense) if the lakers make it that far... chauncey has been disgusting this year

IMO i also think the nuggets will give the lakers all they can handle, I mean the rockets are a good team but honestly everyone thought the lakers would just cruise thru the playoffs and a yao ming-less team took them 7 games so if the lakers do face the cavs lebron will be too much for them this go round, imo.

watching this cavs games reminds me of the all star game. i cant believe mo williams and the cavs staff had to basically cry so much in order for mo williams to become an all-star. what do you guys think if you remember that>?

Cavs are human and they lost, but anyone ever notice that toward the end of every game the cavs lose LeBron always complains about something? When he lost to lakers he was limping at the end of the 4th. when he got blocked last night by dwight he surprisingly limped on his ankle. when he won the tip but lost the game he complained about a cramp. i saw him bleeding, but i think he always wants sympathy
