Eh, they said they were decoupling achievements from weapons, so don't know if you will need them to get it.

My understanding was that it only pinned the player if it killed them.

Oh god now I'll be getting bonked and then stuck to a wall rendering me incapable of moving. Blast!

Greeeat now besides getting bonked I have to worry about getting stuck to a wall.

I have a feeling you will be dead when you are struck against the wall with it. The update goes on in length about how enemies shot with the arrow you shoot at them continuously sticking out of them as they continue playing, which doesn't make any sense unless they don't end up pinned against the wall.

No, I'm quite sure that if you are killed with the weapon you're body will get pinned against the wall, and if not killed you will survive with the arrow sticking out of you as a mark of shame. The weapon still functions as a side-grade weapon without the pinning affect as it will likely (A): arc and (B): be closer ranged than the sniper rifle, which means it's still distinct from the sniper rifle.
