Server filling importance.

I'm posting this because I keep getting steam chat messages in the early morning asking me to help fill highschool and jail so this is to let some of you newer guys know what exactly the priority of server filling is.

1. DUST2 <--- Always #1 dont even think about filling another server until you get this one full, you can also spec overnight.

2. Office
3. Highschool
4. Jail <--- This one always fills up by itself and requires no work whatsoever so I do not want to ever see a message asking to help fill it.



Also don't forget to spec Dust2 overnight.

If you are going to spec, you should be spec-ing dust. That is written in stone.

i always try to rally a bunch of ppl into the server when its low in pop, PMs, if a CSS advisor is on i'll ask if they can place an annoucement, etc.
i can't always spec overnight tho, it crashes my comp

I get those messages all the time as well. I wish I could, but it's kind of hard to when I'm on a laptop that cannot run Source games.

well the reason people ask to fill highschool and stuff in the mornin is because they are bored and wanna play highschool and they don't like dust2 or office XD

I hate Dust2 -AND- Office. Why is Highschool third? It's a great map, and a lot of people play it. It also needs to be filled.

when i work nights i can't spec dust, and when i get home in the morning there's always 20+ people in there already so I started specing highschool when im sleeping during the day cause it's always 0-2 people in there compared to 20+ in dust and that one fills to full during the day.. same with office.

when i work nights i can't spec dust, and when i get home in the morning there's always 20+ people in there already so I started specing highschool when im sleeping during the day cause it's always 0-2 people in there compared to 20+ in dust and that one fills to full during the day.. same with office.

20+ people isn't close to being full on a 44 man server...and usually that 20-25 in the morning is like 4-6 ppl specing, meaning its only like 9v9/10v10...we need it full as much as possible in order to get it up in the ranks.
i've also noticed when we have fill the dust2 server announcements, ppl come and it gets full, they stay for like 30 mins then leave and it drops right back down to 25 ppl or so

well i still wont do it during the day cause when it gets full people will complain that there's people just sitting in spec and try to get us kicked or leave cause there's 5-10 people sitting in spec and wasting slots that could be used by actual playing people, that's why i dont do dust during the day when im working nights, I will continue to do high school so I dont become one of the hated people always sitting in spec wasting space as some people have been called when the servers fill up and they want friends to join, with dust and office for those who have school and cant check during the day, it fills rather quickly and yes while it fluctuates from time to time throughout the day, it's still enough to be able to go up in rank without 5-10 people specing. I know this isn't the case at night, I can't do it at night cause of work, as stated a few times now, but i've watched it for many days during the day and I think it's more of a hamper if to many spec it during the day when there's alot of people who like and want to play on the servers but can't due to it being full of specs. It turns alot of people off if there's a ton of specs and none playing just as much as it being empty. just my personal opinion and what i've been told by alot of people throughout my 16+ years of gaming.

If the server is completely full and ppl are in spec then the admins can and should go ahead and kick them, so don't worry about people complaining. Also I think theirs some forum achievement related to specing a lot so you can get that too.
