Server filling importance.

If the server is completely full and ppl are in spec then the admins can and should go ahead and kick them, so don't worry about people complaining. Also I think theirs some forum achievement related to specing a lot so you can get that too.

and i basically only play on the dust server. theres always slots open for specs, and if it does get filled up the players are just happy everybody isn't active because it lags less. i've never heard of anybody actually complaining of there being too many specs

I'm not really clear on server idling, could someone clear it up?
Basically, its ok to join the server as a spectator and spec while you're away from the computer, right?
How low is low enough to warrant this kind of speccing, and will you ever get kicked when the server picks up?

shrug, im always there, never hear anything. im probably one of the most active eGO members on that server. Not to mention it was already said to be an easy fix, you get an eG/eGO to kick some idlers to make room

ya its ok to join the server, just make sure you agree to the rules when you first join. join spec, when the map changes you'll just idle at the MOTD. you will technically be filling a spot, even tho you won't show up on the list because you're not active. And you may get kicked to make room if necessary.

So no tag is needed to idle? In that case I'll be sure to leave it idling, plus I noticed the HS server was basically dead this morning, I'm glad this is cleared up in my mind now
Now I can put my amazing uptime (3 months in 2 days!) to good use!
