Well, somebody just pointed this thread out to me. Anyway, I don't have much. Just a Taurus Millennium PT111 chambered in 9mm. It was a cheap gun to buy and take to the range.

That PT92 is the Taurus copy of the Beretta 92FS, right?

Also, I kind of like the way those scanner pics turned out. Gives them kind of a weird... I guess bas relief would be the best way to describe them. IE, the picture is very flat with little depth of field.

Its because the object is on the (in effect) lens and measure distance from the lens to the object is 0. Unlike most pics in this thread where the distance is, on average, 3 feet. Then with the mind wanting to think it is a top down pic, the rounds then have the appearance of floating.

thanks for the comments, but yea respawn thats a Taurus PT92 but its not a copy, Taurus int. bought a factory in Brazil from Beretta. Beretta had a contract with the Brazilian gov to produce handguns for m&p and when the contract was filled they sold the factory to Taurus and they redesigned the 92 and improved it by moving the safty from the slide to the frame, so turning the saftyon and off isn't a two hand operation so imho the Taurus is a superior weapon to the Beretta.

Oh. I didn't realize that they actually had a hand in redesigning it. I knew about the whole factory in Brazil thing. I guess copy wasn't the right word. I had just always been told that it was the same as a Beretta 92 since it uses the same fabs/templates/whatever. Although, if you think it's better than the Beretta, I might have to take a look at it the next time I buy a gun. My PT111 is a fairly compact gun, so I'm kind of ready for a "full size" gun.

I would like a Springfield Socomm II in .308, but as a California resident, I'm prohibited from owning scary looking guns even if they operate just like any other semi-auto, and I'm limited to low capacity magazines (I refuse to call it a hi cap mag ban, because banning the industry standards is limiting us to low capacity).

I have a Ruger 10/22, classic plinking carbine.

Also, I have these two babies. One is Bubbles', one is mine. It's the Beretta PX4 chambered in 9mm. (I like 9mm--low recoil for quick, well-placed follow up--as one police officer I chatted with said, "If you can hit what you're aiming at, it usually doesn't matter which of the larger calibers you use. If you can't hit what you're aiming at, it also doesn't matter).

I like Beretta's trigger pull and I like the large, manual safety. I don't like trigger and backstrap safeties, though Springfield's XD series is very comfortable to shoot.

I own an SW40VE, 14 round mags, one with Starfires.
I have a Bryco 380. The gangster throw away gun . It works, and is pretty accurate, so it chills on my wife's nightstand, although in an emergency, I prefer she grabs the SW.
My bro will sell me a Hipoint 380, which is at least better then a Bryco, but even with a 'family' discount, the cost of shipping FFL makes it a bad deal. Oh well, I think I'll get a shotgun for the zombie apocalypse. You can at least find ammo for it in lieu of this made up shortage and price gouging... In Vegas, my brother just bought a box of 50 STANDARD hollowpoints for $45! Garbage man, garbage.

.40 is a great round. I chose 9mm for several reasons, but really like .40, too. Why 9mm?

As I said above, recoil is low, so follow up shot placement can be more accurate with less practice. Also, the slightly smaller diameter means a few more rounds in the mag (though with low cap mag laws in CA, that's less relevant).

Practice ammo is very cheap, but hollow point ammo stops like .40 ball ammo. Also, the ammo is ubiquitous. You can get it world wide, and if things ever truly do break down, army depots are full of the stuff.

I need to get a 12 gauge, too. It's simply good to have one around.

If I didn't live in CA and had some spare cash, I'd want a Beretta CX4 Storm, too.

And if I were filthy rich and moved to Nevada or TX in addition to the above I'd get the Socom II and a 10mm carbine for fun. 10mm is rare, but quite a round.

This is my Izhevsk Mosin Nagant 91/30. My first firearm purchase and only a few days ago. I'm in the process of cleaning it so this is the "best" picture I have for now. This was after I "completely" stripped it.

And this is a Harrington and Richardson .38 S&W, The American Double Action. Not so collectable but it was given to me by my grandma three days before she passed away. So needless to say even if it were collectable I wouldn't sell it, even in perfect condition; which it is far from. But all it needs is a little TLC

Oh yeah, I agree with you on the 9mm. I got the 40 from a friend who just got the gun, but wanted a 3" for CCW carry, so I got this one (the second, fixed series) for less. $300 if I recall. I believe it's an 07'. He had the rear of the floating barrel shaved down a bit, so it's smooth as silk. Still has a hard pull, but practice compensates for that. Love the 40 round though. Lot's of power.

I lived in Nevada, a friend of mine had a full auto Uzi .Lot's of fun, the 100 round drum for the AK was fun too.

I've OWNED a fifty cal sniper. AR-50. But my dad got rid of it. Gave it to his best friend. It's a gorgeous gun.

I've actually had the privilege of shooting a few rounds from Glock chambered in 10mm. The kick back isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'd actually compare it to shooting 9mm out of my Taurus, but then the Glock was a larger framed weapon with more mass and a longer barrel. And nowhere near as bad as the .357 Magnum I rented at a range in North Carolina.

That said, out of everything I've shot, this was probably the most fun:

I rented it at a range in Georgia. If I remember, the target was out around 25 feet, and it was fairly accurate at that range:

The two rounds up and to the right above the silhouette were likely from the climb of the gun on a longer burst of fire. I guess 28 out of 30 wasn't bad, though. I wish I still lived near that range so that I could go back for some more.
