I, unfortunately, have to take a break from playing.
not because of school or family issues, but because I sprained/broke/badly bruised my right wrist. I haven't gone to the doctor yet and I've never broken anything so idk what it feels like.

As you can see, I don't know much, but it hurts incredibly to hold a mouse, or anything decently heavy for that matter. So I am forced to say that I cannot play for a little bit. But the constant pain and inability to play TF2 doesn't hurt half as bad as my time lost with my cello. (sounds like a nerd but.. I really love my cello.)

On the up side I will still be active on the forums :) I'll just have shorter messages, and more importantly, I got through my first math SOL's!! They were easier than I expected :)

Have fun without me!

update: just a warning, if you see me in game it is most likely not me, probably one of my brothers

All good man, heal up and do what you can. Been there myself, spent the better part of 2 months not being able to play the guitar or work or anything. Just get better, we'll keep the server warm for ya.

Hope ya feel better....I would kill some people in TF2 for ya....but Laptop still being worked on....God once i get it back im gonna be on TF2 24/7 for 2 months straight

yup, what horrible timing...and so close to the update being released. Wow, wish you the best and a speedy recovery.

Ah to bad to hear that, I always enjoyed gaming with you,

well, hope in a few weeks you are recovered and are the same cannonfodder as you were before you bruised something ;) j/k

Get better fast!!!

I feel lucky, all I did is bash my knee and I have no activities planned based on that (I can get around the house and in cars alright anyway, stairs are annoying). Get well, we're all in this together :P

Sorry to hear that Retribution, wishing you a speedy recovery and hope that it isn't anything too bad.

Good news on your maths as well! Congrats

That is a sad thing to hear but you should be back and stronger then before in no time. I hope everything works out for you and you come back soon.

i hear you can play pyro with one hand if you bind mouse1 and W lol

Lol, think it would be bind forward and attack.

I should try that some time, it'd make snacking while gaming SO much easier.[/slob]

sorry to hear it retribution. depending on severity, consider the doctor, at the very least to prevent later complications. not to mention possible expediency of recovery, thus, sooner return :)

Do you use something other then Mouse1 and W for moving forward and attacking? lol

Aww get well soon, I hope its just sprained not actually broken as radius/ulna fractures are darn sore. Oh well, I guess I'll have to find another scout to run circles around me for a bit...how inconvenient!

Ugh, sorry to hear that. Atleast when you break a leg you can just sit at home in your computer chair and play some tf2.

Option 1: Put mouse on floor. Use foot to move mouse. Play TF2
Option 2: Have brother use mouse. You run the keyboard. Play TF2.
Option 3: You use mouse. Brother uses keyboard. Play TF2.
Option 4: Put mouse in left hand. Use nose and tongue to operate keyboard. Play TF2.
Option 5: Suck up the pain. Use normal config. Play TF2.
Option 6: Give up all hope. Become a Youtube junkie.

Seriously 1: Too bad you hurt yourself. Take care and get painfree fast.

No, but you don't bind the mouse buttons to other buttons, you bind them to the commands the other buttons have :P whatever, everyone knows what everyone means anyway.

hello all, thanks for the kind words!

the wrist is doing better! after putting heat on it for around 12 hours straight there is a lot less pain. doesn't feel broken so that's a good thing, still painful to hold stuff so I'm gonna stay off it, just to play it safe.

The timing sucks even more because I have a cello performance next Sunday and I can't play!!

I forgot to tell you guys what happened, so I guess I'll fill it in now.
I was playing soccer and was playing center Mid, I guess with all my playing of forward I had forgotten that soccer was an contact sport. (I would just out-run all the defenders so I never had to get in contact with anyone for a while.) So the first couple of tackles were nothing less than a shocker to me, but gradually I got used to the physical component and won all the tackles, but before that I went in for a tackle and got the worst of it. the actual contact wasn't that bad, it was the fall that really hurt, the force I hit the ground coupled with my awkward wrist position royally screwed over my wrist and for a while it felt fine, just a little bruise, but gradually as I was playing I found that it was hurting a lot more. Eventually I figured that this was more than a small little bruise. After I got home I put ice on it but my wrist still hurt more than ever. I slept on it and found I couldn't hold anything but a pencil but it so much to put pressure on anything I couldn't write well. School was nothing less than hell :( and all the other curious 8th graders didn't really help with the pain.

But now the pain is less and I can use my hand for more things.
About to try to play the cello but I doubt I can hold the bow :(
