CoD Keeps Crashing

CoD 4 crashes on me whenever i get past the 1st cut scene (the one where i am thrown into a car... taken to a post and shot) and then gives me this image. I dont know what to do

Googled it:

I got the same error message except it was looking in a different directory. It said "ERROR: Could not find zone 'C:windowszonecode_post_gfx_mp. ff". Heres what i did to fix it. Hope it helps you.

1. Locate the installation directory of your COD4 and find the "Zone" Folder.

2. Cut the "Zone" directory (do not copy).

3. Paste the "Zone" folder in the directory the game is looking for it (ie. paste it where the error message says it cant find it).

For example. J.S.J would have to paste it in "C:clientnameCOD4", even though this is not the directory the game was installed.

4. If the directory does not exist, create the folders manually.

5. Play the game and hope it works.

i think i know what is wrong... the folder CoD does not exist in my steam Apps

i would try looking for the blackout.ff file on your computer first. If you find it make sure its in the place COD is looking for it. If you dont find it on your comp i would goggle it and see if you can just download it and put it in thier.

that's what i would do, it's almost certain to fix your issue! If you can't find the individual file, or it doesn't fix it, completely uninstall CoD4, and re-install it!
