How unlocking new weaons work?

I don't clearly understand it, i mean, i was just standing there in the egypt map and (as a spy) i got the new watch...

the only two i care about getting are the scout and spy new weapons, but im just having a hard time knowing what to do to get them! help meh out.

even thought there are probs loads of these thread, you get weapons at random after playing for time, thats it nothing else to it. its luck of the draw
