lets not forget the men an women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms. Fly your flags an god bless America.

Word. People forget what the holiday (and holidays in general) is actually about. This is one of the few times in the last few days Ive even heard this mentioned. Everyone always focuses on cook-outs or the fact that they get to be off from work.

Salut not only to our soldiers at the homefront but also those far from here. Also we salut those soldiers not american but any other nationality because they are fighting for the cause of freedom also. Also I salut those who have fallen for their country and I hope no one ever forgets them.

Remember our fallen.

Have a safe memorial day

Our flag is good to go. Thanks to our solders past and present.

I remember when I was a kid, went into my mom and dad's room was wondering why my mom was crying. I was just a wee little TAZ at the time, I noticed she was watching what I thought was a war movie, and I said mommy why are you crying, she said War is sad, so many die for us to live.

To this day I still remember exactually what I saw on that T.V in my mom's and dads room, and now I know why she cried.

So it's very nice to see this on the forum, and Canada salutes our neighbors and everyone who has fought for their country and who are still fighting to this day.

I have an enormous amount of respect for the brave men and women that serve in the armed forces. Though it is not a holiday up here in Canada(we observe Rememberance Day on Nov 11), I will be sure to take a moment to remember those that defend the freedoms and liberties we all enjoy.

First off Goomba I want to thank you for putting this up.

I have a ton of respect for my fellow brothers and sisters that continue to serve today, but lets not forget that Memorial Day is a day to honor our fallen soldiers. Those that have died in order for us to live our lives in a free and beautiful country. Everyone on the planet that lives in a free country should take a moment to honor those that have fallen, not just in a US uniform, but any uniform that fights for the same cause. God bless those souls and their families for bearing the ultimate sacrifice.

Band Of Brothers Marathon was on all day today on History channel watched up to Crossroads, Salute troops:)
