Grasshopper and I cannot log onto a server at the same time. We just moved in together. Who do I need to talk to? We can get on non-ego servers only to play together.

I had this happen once, it turned out it was because there was a lot of torrenting going on and used up all but one of the TCP slots allotted by the router.

Also, moved to tech help.

You're not sharing a steam account and putting one, or both, of you in offline mode are you? My roommates and I often play on eGO servers which puts us behind one, identical, IP address and we don't forward any ports for steam games.

Since you live together I'm pretty sure you're usingthe same interenet
That might be why
If you want to play together go wireless and connect remotely, it gives you a different IP and might let you on...

this isnt a server issue , my wife and i play ego all the time .

Guess you're not running the same steam account because you both used to be able to play at the same time correct? Do

Start>Run>cmd

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

Then unplug you're router, plug it back in. Unplug you're modem, plug it back in. Restart the router again.

If all this doesnt work call you're ISP please post back to tell me if it worked

One thing to add. If you're on Vista, make sure you right click and run the command prompt as administrator, otherwise it won't work.

That's correct as far as I know.

IP address is supposed to be specific to each computer, as far as I know.

No it's not. Me, my friend, and my other friend were all playing at my house at the same time. And there are two ip's, local and dynamic/static. The dynamic/static ip is bound to you're router which is the same for everyone on you're network. The local is different for everybody. It is prob the same for you too, that's why you should do the ipconfig thing i told you about.
