Blackmesa mix-up

So I search for a server ("Internet" tab) and look at the map and I see cp_blackmesa_final, so I join the server, and right after 10 mins of playing, I notice the server is not an eGO server. Weird. . .

Whenever people join the server, they download the map/get the ability to host their own servers with the map, since they downloaded it...

Besides they're advertising eGO servers, it says "play-tested by eGO"

It's a publicly-released map, with its own page on FPSbanana. It's great if other servers are using it... that's the point!

The only three servers I know that use it are ours, FLC (occasionally), and the Alpha (or Omega) Project.

Either way, that's a good thing.

The map has always had a pic in spawn that says "Play tested by eGO" ?

We did run the map a long time before anyone else, on its own server. And we tested it to the final version.

Thought this was about the time the map changed to 2fort in the mesa server. Anyway, it's good to see other people appreciate it as much as us.

It's actually really cool to see blackmesa on other servers than eGO. All the publicity is a good thing...and blackmesa is a great map!

since it says edgegamers as well it gives us credit and when people see it they will go to our website and check it out
