recently i have been playing DODs and i can only play for a few minutes before i get the BSOD. the BSOD says to update my BIOS (which i did already), and it also says to disable BIOS options caching and shadowing. Does anybody have any help to offer me, i am kinda lost when it comes to the technical stuff...lol.

Thanks, lungbuster4417

thats what im thinking too, its a dell inspiron e1505, and its a few years old, im not sure what kind of video card i have

hmmm I was getting a BSOD a while back all I did to fix it was reseat my GFX cards and get the enormous amount of dust out of the case.

but my advice is to write down the code that shows up on the blue scrren and search for it.

ok cool, but how do you reset your gfx cards? and where would i search for the code? like i said im a nube when it comes to computers

oh ok i must have misread it, thanks for the help guys, ill give it a try and let yall know how it goes

I would recommend updating your graphics card, it worked when I had this problem. Give it a shot if you haven't already.

When you reseat your cards make sure you get any dust out of the PCI-E slot use compressed air(purchased at most electronics shops). Then give the entire computer a good blow with it dust can interfere with conductivity and with heat dissipation.

Taping some swiffer dry clothes to the air intakes is a good way to cut down on the dust in the case.

Hope it all works out for ya buddy.
