getting a hold of admins

:chair:I play Dod a lot late night, and mostly there are no admins on and i was wondering if there was a way i can get one, cause it gets nasty in there at night and no one is there to tone it down, it dont happen all the time but when it does, i ask if they could plzzzz stop useing foul language, and then get rudely talked to on the mic. i just want to know if there was a way i can get a hold of an admin fast. :angry:

Usually, if you really need an Admin, all you have to do is jump on our Vent server.

As was said above, Ventrilo is one of the best ways to contact people if you need help. The other way is through Steam Friends; add a bunch of eGs and eGOs that you've played with and know, and you can very easily get a hold of somebody.

Also, are you specifically referring to the sniper server, or the 24/7s? Recently the sniper server has had very few admins stopping by at all times of the day, and I've seen you in there at least once or twice. It can be very tough place to admin at times because of alltalk and the number of newer players that visit (as compared to the 24/7 regulars who all know the rules).

last i played cod on the night i got the same problem...
bot the the other guys tell, be on ventrilo and you always can get an admin

Shoutbox, vent, steam.


Add -condebug -windowed -noborder to your launch properties to make tabbing out easy. Make sure to adjust the aspect ratio and resolution so it fills your screen completely. And condebug will capture everything that is typed into a text file. When something happens type status in console and get their steam ids. Then you can contact and admin to help you do a ban request if needed.

i have about 150-170 steam friends, about 130 being ego members...and at least 60-70 being admins....so I usually have many others admins on as well as myself at the night hours...just add a bunch of ego friends

Yes Vent would be a great idea, sometimes on STEAM I would ask for help from an =eGO= and then all of sudden the "away" status comes up :thumbdown:

On Vent at least you have a better chance of getting hold of them

Yep I understand your pain. When I was a =e= I to was faced with pubs running a muck on a server with out admin abilities I felt helpless. But with the uses of Steam Friends and Vent I was never alone again. Any admin that is worth his or her G will help you even if it means leaving another server.

I prefer steam friends. On vent you can't see players rank (unless they are an advisor) so it can be hit and miss.

When playing your game, press shift+tab to open the overlay. On your friends list there should be a link allowing you to add friends. From this it will allow you to add people you are currently playing or recently played with to your friends list.

I prefer that method because you can see exactly who is online playing and what rank they are and you can send them a message in-game without leaving the server you're on.

That is only really useful if you add LOTS of eG and eGO's to your list to have a better chance of catching one online.

If that fails, vent is also a method that works.

1. Add tons of eG's and eGO's on friends.

And if u see a admin on another server, hop over and ask

Yeah. Vent will be a problem if you don';t know the person's rank.
There is also a problem with me adding other member via steam. The button just doesn't work. So I am stuck at only adding people I have played with.

But try both.
