Graphics problem

I have a Graphics problem.
I look in console and it says -

CMaterial:recacheVars: error loading vmt file for overviews/de_cpl_mill

Any idea on how to fix this?

If your missing a file, I suppose you could get someone to send it you or you could reinstall the game. Try getting someone to send you the vmt file from their TF2 directory. This might work. Post back.

You are missing a material file. Just do what Haze said and you'll be fine.

You might want to try the "Verify integrity of game cache" option before reinstalling.

Right Click the game name in steam > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game cache..

OK, I did that also did a quick defrag, check it out see if it works..
Btw this is CSS... Is the same engine/grahpics, being used by TF2 and CSS?

Yeah they all run on the source engine

It didn't work because their not the same engine, TF2 runs on the newer orange box engine..


I'd just reinstall man.

Umm yeah and steam can still check the files on the dudes PC. But at this point yeah I'd try a fresh install.

Open Steam > Games > Right click tf2 > Delete all local content

Click 'install' after it deletes. That'll re-install the game for you. I recommend browsing to your Team Fortress 2 folder and copying your config.cfg folder so you don't need to set your options again.
