My fellow eGO friends, I have made something that can save a lot of time when trying to connect to your favorite eGO TF2 Server.

Screenshot:
snapshot0002.jpg

Installation:
Just download the attached ZIP file containing a single VBS file. Just put that VBS file into your personal TF2 resource folder. (c:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\username\team fortress 2\tf\resource). Double-click the file, and a new file will appear in the resource folder called gamemenu.res. Open TF2 and look at your menu :)

Updating:
When I release an update, or you get a wild hair, just double-click the VBS file to retrieve a new gamemenu.res from the server. I will post updates on new posts in this thread.

Uninstallation:
Just delete the file you put in the resource folder. It will restore the original menu on the next restart of TF2.

Bugs:
-If you try to connect to the Fun Server, it will NOT prompt you for a password, so you can only connect to the Fun server using this menu if there is not a password set.
-Also this may be hard to use, or unusable if you have a low resolution on your monitor and/or TF2.

Changelog:
1.1 (6/28/09)- Added downloader to grab .RES file from server.
1.2 (7/8/09)- Updated New Maps and IP changes. (Also updated screenshot)
1.3 (7/21/09)- Updated New Maps
1.4 (8/17/09)- Updated IP's to Servers, Changed Server names; Updated Screenshot
1.5 (10/10/09)- Full list update

hmm
i dont know.
I Think what would be nice is how many people are on the server next to it, so we know if its full or not.

Wow that looks epic! I might use it when if i get a new pc. But using this on my bros pc is a big no, no.

This is awesome! If there was a reputation system here you'd get +10! You should add some update system so we can see if the server is full or not. That'd be very helpful.

Also, will you be able to update it regularly with server changes/updates?

its amazing and ill use it all the time like i use my computer and socks all the time.

good job beaverrr!

This looks totally awesome! Good job. Do you think it would be possible to do what Ash said and list how many people are on each server? Is it possible to have it simply says:
"Join =(eGO)= Pipeline (31/33)"

If you did do something like that, would you be able to have the player count automatically refresh?

Oh, also what happens when one of the servers is off-line?

But that is seriously a cool module you made there. I rarely, rarely play outside of eGO servers, so why not just have them as main-menu options, right? It's great to see players with mad skillz get creative like you did.

Very nice, and very useful. I'll be using this, and thanks for creating such a nifty tool.

At this point this is not possible with TF2. This is not a hack, just a modification :)

Oh, also what happens when one of the servers is off-line?

It will say Failed to Connect after 4 retries, or whatever.

Thanks for your input!

Ok, I found one issue. When you're in a server, and you press ESC, a scroll bar is created to show all of the options.

Some people may not like that, and it'd be easier to just disconnect and press the button again, rather than scrolling to find another server. Would it be possible to only show this at the main menu?

As I said, it is a bug. The only way to fix would be for eGO to shut down a few servers... (HAHA JK!! :P)

I will take a look and see what I can do.

DUDE! THIS IS SICK!

I don't know that i would necessarily use it, as others have said up above, its nice to see the player count before joining.

But it doesn't hurt to have it. and if you have a favorite map you want to play. or aim for at sometime, then this is AMAZING!
GOOD WORK BRO!
