hit boxes

I know the vids out dated but the hitboxes have been the same for ages.
They are updated now, I believe its the MODAL you must hit - Not the box.
And this CAN be done the same way.
But this was a demo on hitboxes in general.
And was refered to the bit were I said it can depend on server and be in front OR behind.

Currently its NOT the boxes BUT the modal that MUST be hit.
But on occasion SOME servers ARE still like this due to bad hosting/crap rates.
And the vid was to show the actual wost of it.
Since a online server I knew before it got taken down was EXACTLY like this.

but what i was saying is it doesn't work that way anymore because they did change it. they made it so as a LAN (0 ping) the hitboxes are on the models now (you can test it out, they are exact) and so when you're on a server with 50ms the hitboxes are lagged behind by 50ms, if you're on it with 100ms they are lagged behind 100ms. never in the history of me playing counter-strike have i ever seen the hitboxes ahead of the model at all.
they will always be behind the players because you'll never have 0 ping on a server, ever. except its tricky to get used to because it really depends how far behind it is by the angle they are running. If its directly side to side then its to its maximum. if its towards you, well it doesn't matter. if they crouch their head hitbox is still there for a split second. etc etc

More likely, at least for when i play css, is that you are not used to the bullet spread of the gun while moving. I used to have problems with getting headshots, so I tested the spread of each gun I use on a wall and tried running, walking, crouching, standing, etc. Obviously, the less you move, the less bullet spread. You may want to try changing up your strategy so when you pop out from behind a wall you stand still for 1 second so you can shoot, then move. That's what I do and it works like a charm because other people wont have as accurate of a shot as you will.

!up JunK.
I was just stating though bro.
You are correct but my history is all I wanted to post. =P
Back in 1.6 they were like that, but no longer.

Hitboxes dont matter anymore.
Its the modal.

Yeah, I say it can do with your ping but mostly depending on the gun. If every gun shot exactly between the crosshair then css would be even easier to play. No gun shoots in the middle of the crosshair, except for an awp of course. The ak and saw shoots pretty much everywhere BUT what your crosshair is pointing at.

attend basic training and i'll show you otherwise. nearly every gun except pistols shoot directly in the middle of the crosshairs unless you're getting shot, moving, jumping and/or spraying

Well my question on this is how come you can make your crosshair smaller and magicly your gun is more accurate.

=( i missed basic training..... damn job.... whens the next one anyone know..... and about the cross hair its better smaller because u can get a better shot ;)

My friends have their crosshair UBER small. It resets on its own so gave up on it. What is it? cl_scale 1 or something?

It's not the gun, it's the operator. Old Chinese (or something) Proverb: "Smaller target, smaller group." I don't see why it wouldn't work on a monitor the same way it works in reality.

Hmm, very nice lance.
