MP40 vs. Thompson

which one do you prefer? why? and if you could make 1 change to it, what would that be?

I like the german weapons better. So MP40

This has been argued over and over. MP40 is better for random headshots longrange, while the thompson has a better close range accuracy.

My fav, MP40 hands down.

no thompson is sooo much better, at short range long range MP4- is a little bit better but not by much tho.

i choose thompson, better short range and faster rate of fire.. if i could change anything about the 2, i would make it a 3 round burst and auto fire weapon.

I prefer the thompson hands down. The only change i could see making is taking the 50 rnd drum for it

I'm more in favor of the MP40, It seems to be far more accurate in all means then the thompson, only thing I would change would be fireing style as mentioned above, a burst pattern would be WAY better ^^

I prefer the Thompson and I would only modify it by adding a drum of ammo so it looks like a gun used by the Mafia.

haha ... i used to prefer the mp40 ... but u just cant beat how much of a hack weapon the thompson is, spray and pray ... except the praying part isnt even needed b/c you wait for the smoke to clear and all the dudes around you somehow died, /sigh stupid thompson

I prefer thompson, but mp40 is good too. Sometimes thompson just feels like, well not overpowered but there's situations when i feel like "wow, this killing streak can only happen with thompson" .

The thompson is a headshot machine. The MP40 is good for long range but at short range the thompson will win everytime.

the mp40 is good for the longer shots...has a high rate of fire and is easy to control...thompson is my favorite of the two though...dont know why...just like it...

if i could change anything it would be that the 9mm round does more damage than the .45 cal ...how do you figure thats accurate...lol

bahh, 45 round is more deadly than 9mm.. more knockdown power.. and i see some guys liked my burst fire idea... hmm maybe i should take that up with steam
