im sure eventually they will do something with the levels in order to make use of the constant gaining of double and triples of every weapon just by playing the game
I think higher level weapons will probably just have more dramatic tradeoffs, not just be straight upgrades. It's not really Valve's style to hand out a peashooter to one guy and a handcannon to the other and call it even. If you want X, you'll have to sacrifice Y.
yes maybe about the trading thing system when it comes out so there would be more valuable items to trade it with instead of it as hats for hats. The lvl of the weapon might affect on game play which might make it strong faster and etc.
Level 90 Ambassador - +50% dmg from Normal Ambassador (totalling to 30% more trhan normal revolver) -50% Firing speed (Making it only 30% of revolver firing speed)
(Not real statistics) I think it may be something like that?

That seems a bit extreme, since a damage level like that would literally make spies a Sniper class that can cloak. It will probably be something slightly noticeable, but not gamebreaking, though I'd rather that they were just there and didn't do anything. You know, just a little something to laugh about like it is now
It's pretty obvious they are going to put in randomize stats on the weapons, just a matter of time. The levels thing was just one of those ninja patches that dl in about a second when you start the game, to check that it was working ahead of time.
The more you play the more XP you gain. Then you have to level them up and have them battle. Then you get to make weird dialogue and sound effects, "Ambassador, use ICE BEAM" "Noooo, Sandman, use Flamethrower". Or maybe I'm just confused, as my signature says.
