about everytime now for that last 20 days everysingle game i play on steam freezes or looses connection after about 15 mins even gmod i need help. is there a way that i can reinstale steam without loosing games?

Yes, if you have the space, back up all the .GCF files in your "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps" directory. Then reinstall Steam, and put those back in.

If your being disconnected from all of your Steam games, chances are it's an authentication problem, not on your side.

Any way you like. 2nd or external HDD, DVD's. I usually use my 30gig ipod whenever I reformat, and need to back stuff up.

You obviously don't have to do this, unless you absolutely cannot wait the extra couple hours to play again.

my syeam is up to date ....if i do a system restore would i loose like all my music and pic i have gotten with in the last 3 weeks?

what files would i have to back up ???? if my probleme is in the steam files and i just backthem up then my probleme insnt fixed so plz be tell me whatr files i should back up plz thx!
