I think it's disappointing. Why replace it with ZombieMod when you can make a new server? Sure, there weren't many players on it, but still...

Your opinions plox?

im half and half on it, i like playing stock maps, but the zombie mod is fun

Stock maps was popular for a small amount of time and then it rapidly declined. eGO loses money for servers that are empty therefore the Leadership is trying something different to see if it will grab. I loved the stock maps server myself but everytime I looked on my server list it was empty. Gona hop on the Zombie server when I get home from work tonight and see how that is :)

Servers cost money. It's how life works :/ eGO doesn't have a money tree unfortunately. And as some like to believe, eGO isn't run by robots/millionaires/companies, but by people who have regular jobs and have regular bills to pay.

To answer this question will require simple math.

CS:S Division Info: 2 boxes
1 box can hold 4 instances
We have 8 instances
1. Dust2
2. Office
3. Jail
4. Italy
5. Event Server
6. High School
7. Stock Maps

If we added another instance of use, instead of saving the bandwidth, we would use it, hence adding way more lag. That one instance can be saved with one instance that is not used (Stock Maps). There were never any people on stock maps anyway, a rare amount of people.

So 8 instances used = Lag = People complaining = Warning, Kicking, or even Banning people. Much hassle over one instance, that could be used to have open bandwidth. That is why they changed the server.

if we were going to get 9(including the stock maps) servers then the lag would even more increase like pie said and the cost will be too much. plus stock maps were not doing so well the past few days before the removal so i guess they (as in the cs:s leaders) decided to change it into something that will get more people in our servers.
