National Service Award

Awarded in recognition of service to his or her country in the armed forces, firefighting or law enforcement. May also be awarded for other types of service not mentioned here, to be determined on a case by case basis.

If you meet the criteria and are deserving of this award, please let me know what branch or service, department/state Law Enforcement, etc.
 
Do people in Reserve officer training corps get awarded these because im in one.
Also I meet up with my local police every month and they teach me about what they do and everything. Dont know if that would count or not.
 
well i got mine awhile ago for being in the army, but any1 and every1 let us know who your with and be proud your serving this country proud!
 
Not sure if "e" 's get medals but i have been in law enforcement going on 12 years now =)
 
lol I dont see why e's wouldnt get medals. But im in an MCJROTC unit at school and I have meetings each month with my local police and they teach us what they do.
 
What about a over the road truck driver that used to deliver Arms, Ammo, and Explosives to US base's all over the US that were shiped over seas to help with our fight men & women ?
 
And you needed a National Security Clearance.... (goes with my posting above)

ROTC does not qualify for the award. The award is intended for the men and women who do this as a full / part time job.

Do we get 2 Medals if we were in the military and now working for the Law enforcement? Now im a Corrections Officer for a Maxium Security Prison...
 
well i don't know if its applicable but i was in the Canadian Reserve Force for 2 years (bout 6 years ago). it was a great experience though and motivated me to take my past trade training which made me the contractor i am today, woot

5 years service United States Marine Corps. E-5 Sergeant stationed in Camp pendleton CA. Two tours of IRAQ . from 2002- 2006 Combat promoted to E-5 Honorably Discharged Feb 24 2006 .
 
For two weaks last year i worked at the Swedish police. You get out from school to feel how it is to work. I didnt really go on car chases or anything like that. If that counts or not :P.
