Custom sounds

Yo, i just downloaded custom gun sounds and i was wondering how i switch them out with the standard ones for DOD:S... This is what it says to do.....

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\your account\day of defeat source\dod\sound


BUT, after i click dod source folder there is no sound folder, or any sounds in other folders.

When i paste the sound folder in i get nothing when i log in. Anyone know how i can fix this?

create a folder then, then after you do that stick the sound files in it.

Did that, but its still playing the old sounds. They must be somewhere

you do NOT have to make ur own folder inside your dod file there is already a folder that is named 'sounds' once in there you stick all your sound files in the 'weapons' folder if there is not a weapons folder then you make one.

sounds right, but there is no sounds folder in my dod folder

So i need to find where the sounds folder is or would be. because its not there. but there is a bunch of bigger files that say like sound bbut there not in a folder

you create a folder called "sound" and place it in your folder here:
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\your account\day of defeat source\dod\
After that, you put your sounds in there and they overwrite your old DoD:S sounds and they will play in game.
If you do not like the sounds, just delete the sound folder and be on your way.

i downloaded a full skin and sound thing for dod i guess last yearish...it installed everything in the right folder and i didnt really ave to do anything...but ive gone back to the regualr sounds for now

i just use the normal sounds. but i have a lot skins.
