my other computer died and i am in need of some suggestions for another motherboard so does anyone know of a good "cheap" motherboard?

I love the eVGA motherboards. They work wonders and look great too! :)

I love asus and their intel mobo's but do you know if your cpu/other hardware is fried? Depending on that you can either buy a mobo that supports your current hardware or get a newer one + cpu and move your RAM/Video card over assuming those work.

Asus isn't bad except for bios issues in which I've heard about but never ran into an issue. I now have an Intel DP35 and a Gigabyte DS3R board. The Gigabyte is pretty awesome. Stable when overclocking with stock HSF too.

DFI lan party boards are good for open cases that need bling appeal. They also OC nicely. Gigabyte is also great.

Asus is good, Foxconn is solid, I also like MSI and eVGA

Gigabyte is very good. I've been using MSI mobo's for a while now and never had a problem. Just make sure you don't buy too cheap or you may end up replacing sooner than you'd hoped.

are you buying new components to go with the new mobo, or carrying over your existing RAM, graphics card etc. if so, can you post the specs?

But you really don't want to overclock with a stock HSF hehe. If you're getting a new mobo and CPU and planning to overclock, I'd recommend getting an aftermarket HSF. HSF = HeatSink Fan. It's a CPU cooler.

ya it fried my cpu too and i would still like to use my graphics card ya know try and save some money but its just a nvidia 7800 gt (same thing i got in this computer)

Asus or Gigabyte for my mobo
AMD for the processor (Quad core AMD's are fairly cheap 119$ for a 2.4GHZ)
EVGA for my GFX card
and Corsair for my RAM =) this combo has never failed me. Ever....

well my power supply died on this computer so i am having to run stock graphics and stuff, what would be the best power supply brand to get?

Corsair is my personal favorite, my 650tx provides very stable and reliable power. PC Power & Cooling as well as Antec, for the more budget-minded, would also be good choices.

ya i have been lookin at Antec, i had a 650w Cooler Master and it only laster about a year and a half so.
