What game got you started into gaming?!

Almost everyone has a game that got them started into gaming. Whether it is Pong (great game btw) or Super Mario Bros. Whats yours?

For me, it all started about 10 years ago I had a Playstation, and then I purchased Spyro the Dragon and I could not separate myself from that game, after a couple of months of playing that one game, I decided I wanted a lot more.

Goldeneye on the N64 was probably the game that got me hooked on gameing. Family always loved Bond so we had to get the game.

Paperboy. I remember playing it at a friends house when I was little, and I began to love games.

Me too, I got started on Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, after that I got a gameboy and some Wario games and Pokemon. From then on it just progressed.

I wish I still had spyro, such a great game.

Well I did have the pong paddles, then atari 2600, and then the commodore 64. My cousins had the intelivision console as well that I used to play on. :thumbup: Am I showing my age? :biggrin:

me too! basically SMB3 and Megaman 2 where my other two games I couldn't put down. To this day I can speed run SMB3 in about 40-45 minutes.

Super Mario 64 was probably my first game. I was wayyy too young, but the N64 brought me such things as Mega Man and Mortal Kombat.

What really got me hooked on gaming, specifically online, was Everquest. That was where my alias: dormedas , was created. (It was created by me randomly choosing consonants and vowels)

I'd say Everquest was the thing that hooked me. Halo didn't help either..

About 5 years from this day (according to what my steam Id says) i began playing TFC and later led me to play tf2.

for online play, i would have to say homeworld. that game is still ahead of its time. nothing like hyperspacing some ion cannon frigates beneath the enemies mothership and watching them freak.

My first game was Mario Bros. on the Atari, but the game that got me into 3D PC games was Half Life.
