Help me find a new MMO!

[zippy258]

Well, I am going to try WAR, but the patcher keeps messing up.

So for now, I am looking for a completely free mmo with a good deal of competitive guilds.

Please only post if you have a suggestion. Thanks!

[broccolicreamsoup]

well i know a lot of eGO members play guild wars

[zippy258]

Thats not free though.

F2P just means you don't have to pay a monthly fee, not that you don't have to buy the game...

So techically guild wars is f2p.

Ok, let me go edit my post.

Any one have any suggestions?

Already suggested, but Guild Wars is your best (cheapest) bet.

[zippy258]

Completely free please.

But thanks; I will do more research on it. Does look pretty cool.

Completely free? Your not going to get a "decent" MMORPG without paying some type of price. Guild Wars is 10-20 bucks. And it doesn't require a monthly payment.

Beta, It's awesome, I'm lvl 2 ftw.

sword of the new world, its the only F2P i played longer than a day heh

[zippy258]

nothing as of Now, Aion comes out soon so im taking a break from mmorpg till that comes out.

zippy, im aware that you want free but guildwars will be your best bet, Ive played plenty of free mmorpgs and none really stood out. newegg has guildwars for 9.99 which includes the original and eye of the north, you can also pick up factions for 9.99 as well. Free shipping for both.

Have you tried runescape lol? Thats the only mmo ive played the longest that was free.

Get Huxley when it comes out, its MMOFPS with UT3 engine. Its very nice and will be Completely Free You dont even have to buy it.

Not quite true, they'll be doing Micro Payments which means if you want to get everything the game has to offer you'll need to pay...

[Shini]

Zippy try out 9dragons (Chinese kong fu mmorpg where you have alot! of levels to gain and there are alot of different combinations of classes )
Fury was the best free mmo i tryied but sadly it got closed beacuse no popularity
http://www.archlordgame.com/ is also a pretty good game

totally forgot about D&D it's becoming free to play soon

If I were you... Save up $50 and get Guild Wars and all it's expansions. I know you don't want to pay but there's not really a "decent" MMO you don't have to buy. Guild Wars is definietly a great game. Of course if you want to pay, Play EvE with eGO. It's $5 on steam this week and comes with all expansions and a 30 day's game time.
