Have you tried runescape lol? Thats the only mmo ive played the longest that was free.

Get Huxley when it comes out, its MMOFPS with UT3 engine. Its very nice and will be Completely Free You dont even have to buy it.

I saw this... I also heard its horrible.

Zippy try out 9dragons (Chinese kong fu mmorpg where you have alot! of levels to gain and there are alot of different combinations of classes )
Fury was the best free mmo i tryied but sadly it got closed beacuse no popularity

If I were you... Save up $50 and get Guild Wars and all it's expansions. I know you don't want to pay but there's not really a "decent" MMO you don't have to buy. Guild Wars is definietly a great game. Of course if you want to pay, Play EvE with eGO. It's $5 on steam this week and comes with all expansions and a 30 day's game time.

I played EVE, but there was a glitch, and I never got my starter ship after my big huge ship got destroyed. :crying:

And I am only asking for a free one to play in my spare time. I doubt I would stick with it that long.

I used to play a free to download and play mmo called knight online. it was ok but you have to pay if you want to be able to join the servers whenever otherwise they are usually full and can't get in.

by join the servers i mean if it is past the cap for free players to get in you have to wait til non peak hours to get on.

I'm serious Zippy. Save that $50 and go on http://newegg.com and buy Guild Wars and all of it's expansions. You won't be dissapointed. It's really a great game. There is even a 10 Day trial on their website (http://www.guildwars.com). But hey, I can't make you buy the game, just a suggestions .

the best free one i know of would be Perfect World International, which gives u like complete customization of your character, and then Runes of Magic, that gives u dual-class abilities.
FlyFF (Fly for fun) some really cool rpg, you get to fly on a board or broom.
Maplestory, a 2d sidescroller, its pretty fun. its free.

I tried Rapelz (or whatever). It was ONE OF THE WORST GAMES IVE EVER PLAYED.

I also tried flyff. I couldn't get through the tutorial because people kept enchanting me and spamming chat and hacking around and stuff that my computer crashed from the packet overload.

Eh, you get what you pay for me. I hate free games now..... there are some "Decent" ones, but none of them compare to the retail or pay to play games. Perhaps try a decent single player RPG until something better hits the MMO scene? I've been doing that lately...

I liked Rappelz, mainly because I played with some people from eGO. I hate flyff. (Tried it to.)

The installer never works right for perfect world, and I already tried FlyFF and MapleStory

Wont play RoM. And I still havnt found a decent MMO so I a glad the person bumped it up.
