Logitech G15 vs Saitek Cyborg

I've always been more a fan of Saitek than Logitech. I'm using a Saitek Eclipse II and it's a solid piece of work. Plus, I think it looks cooler.
 
G15.

Owner of the G15, and used the cyborg. G15 is a much better keyboard, won't be sorry.
 
As a Logitech user and fan I would say the G15. The choice is totally yours though.

LCD very useful for Comp Read Outs, Media Player (WMP), CSS Stats, Fraps, etc

for 90$ Im happy with my g15
 
I prefer the logitech G15 over the Saitek but both are amazing choices. Logitech is just a more reliable company IMO but its not that i wouldnt buy from Saitek. They are a great gaming company and all they do is make gaming gear.
 
I use the G15.I checked out the cyborg at Best Buy, I didn't see what was better than the G15 that made it $20 more.
 
Another vote here for the G15. Very solid keyboard, great backlight, and the LED screen is very useful when gaming.
 
I"m guessing i'm the only guy running a Saitek Cyborg Keyboard here. I would have to say that programming the 12 buttons is a little rough.. you gotta basically have a degree in it. But once i figured it out it works phenomenal. I also enjoy it showing my volume level on the keyboard and the "Cyborg mode" That disables the windows key and allows you to customize the coloring of the keys depending on what game your playing. For example.. i have my WASD keys lit up red and my qerty keys lit up DIM green. my keypad light is shut off and so are my arrow keys. My 12 programmable buttons are Bright green. so in the dark.. the WASD keys are easy to return to in peripheral, so you can keep your eyes on the screen.

If your PC doesnt have front outputs, its HUGE plus, because the Cyborg has Mic and Headphone plugs along with a USB 2.0 Plug built into it. My computer however has front headphone ports that disable the speaker on insertion.. so i cannot use this feature.. also.. my computer has front USB ports and mic port.. so this feature is quite redundant.

I wish i had a screen though so i could switch through ventrillo easily...

This keyboard has been in my possession for almost a full year. The keys haven't worn out.. and its been working great. I had some slight issues with the drivers being recognized, and the keyboard working correctly after being unplugged and moved to a different port (after i had removed the pc for cleaning.) but it was easilly fixable by clicking remove device and then replugging the keyboard into the USB port in the device manager. Another problem i had was the software wouldn't install, but once i updated my system to net framework 2.0 it worked fine. (now we are on 3.2 IIRC.)

If you can get the Saitek Cheaper, I'm pretty sure you would like it.

Now if only i could fix my Vent problem.... hmmmmm.....
 
usually i hate logitech because they sell decent products for decent products. im more of an enthusiast so the decent categories dont fly with me.

but the G15 is the best keyboard ive ever seen/had/used. My friend has the saitek, i dont really care for it. its uninmaginative and the buttons dont feel as nice. also, if you game at all, different colored wasd, etc are beyond useless. Also, why would you put macros on both sides of the board? youre right hand is using the mouse, you dont need macros on the right side. thats just silly.

the G15 has a great lcd panel and nice backlighting (if you like blue).

I dont use macros often, but i have the keyboard mainly because of the spacious key layout and the feel of the springs under the keys. it also comes with a great extension for a wristpad or sorts.

i plan to buy a g19 as soon as it becomes available somewhere else besides dell.com

I use my right side for switching between Macro sets. I bind the left side to actual functions.

I have one for Vent, one for Photoshop, another for Video editing.. another for misc functions... etc etc etc.

The bottom two (C11 and C12) changes songs when gaming. I just smack it with my thumb :)

it is the actual gaming keyboard. the orange one is not the gaming version of the g15 (not that the names matter) but the gaming version is a nicer color imo (blue) and the layout it nicer, and the lcd panel folds shut.

and if you do not like the g15 i would suggest this one before choosing the saitek

The new G15 w/orange is the "gaming version," just that Logitech decided to scrap that part of the name with the new version. The old G15 has been discontinued and the new one has taken its place. I had the old G15 and currently use the new one and I recommend getting it over the old one. The orange backlight is much brighter and easier to see and the keys on the new one do not wear down like the old one. Plus, the new one uses up much less space than the old one did and the LED screen is higher definition. I'm also not sure if the new drivers work on the old version, that might be something to consider.
