The reason I'm doing this is actually quite many...:

1) It's bringing negative attention my way that I do not want.
2) It's a lot of work (and time for that matter) to hold first place.
3) By being in first, I can't play spy and terrorize the servers like I normally do.

what kind of negative attention could you be getting? And how can you not play spy, you get twice as many points for knife kills, i got like 1000 points playing spy yesterday

Wow, must be a lot of playing to maintain first place! I have a hard time getting under rank 1000, even. I tend to stagnate at certain point values for long periods of time, which irritates me a lot. I care too much about these rank sorts of things.

Make sure to take lots of screenshots of your stats with you at the top that way when you do give it up you can have proof that you were #1 once.

I think i worry about my rank too much, i only play classes that i know i can get my rank up even if it doesn't necessarily help the team, i would probably have alot more fun if i didnt care so much,

I stopped caring about ranks after my K/D ratio gets screwed over. I don't really care as long as I'm having fun and I'm able to help my team succeed.
