It seems all my gear breaks..So heres my problems.
Main Problem:1) Headset.
Ive got a Logitech headset and the mic is, for some strange reason, broken. Te cord shouldn't be snapped, it IS slightly bent in one place. However the mic does not recieve at all.
2) Spastic mouse. My Laser mouse trips out sometimes and spins at a massive rate. I think this may be bits of dirt in the laser or a bad mousepad though.
3) Sometimes when I alt tab and then attempt to re-open CSS it doesn't reopen, however I can hear all the sounds and mic chatter. A small bar in the top left hand corner says CounterStrike: Source. When I close it, through Ctrl Alt Delete, it tells me that HL2.exe has stopped working.
Theres a lot more but my main one is my mic- I haven't been able to Warden Jb!!!!1111oneone!!1

the mic:
have you tried testing your mic in your operating systems control panel under sound devices / speech?

is the program your trying to use your mic in have the proper sound device being used chosen?

the mouse:
sounds like dirt or even a hair use a qtip to clean the lens and area under the mouse where the light comes from.

your other problem there are many games and people that have trouble re entering a game that they atl/clr/del out of. Try not to do it in the games you have problems with.

The mic has just completely stopped working. Its reading through the pink input jack at the front of the computer, which Is where I plug it in, but when I test mic through steam nothing happens. BTW im running vista, is that the order I should go through to get to the test page?

I don't even have a pc and I know how to test a mic in windows.....Anyway go to control panel then sound then recording devices or recording, then test the mic. Mics were never reliable for me I would always get it caught on my chair or something and it would pull the wire..it would not physically break on the outside, but it did on the inside. USB mics are usually stronger though, If your rough with your equipment you might want to get one they are relatively cheap now like $20. I now have a bluetooth headset so I don't break it anymore...... As for the mouse just clean it and it should work, a quick squirts of the air duster should do it.

Hope this helps

Lookslike the mic is just totally defunct. I tested it, didn't pick up. Im just gonna test it on my other computer to see if its the input jack or not.

the cord is probably broken. that happened to my brother and unless you want to cut the cord open and try to fix it yourself, it wont work. do you have another mic?

you might have the problem that i had with this hp headset

they didnt wire the freakin mic plug, only the headset part.

or if you had it for a long period of time, your chord could be frayed.

and if you do get a new headset, i highly recomend NOT getting a hp headset. they fail so hard that they forgot to wire the mic >_>

the mouse, my dynex dose the same thing sometimes, it will just sprasticly start spinning my guy. its normal. sometimes it could be that there is a hair blocking the laser

for the css problem, try hitting escape or the console key i have that problem on insurgency sometimes,
