We have been watching alot of our e's lately and they have been pretty rude, more less yelling at pubs insted of nicely asking if he/she would stop/name change/ language. i had to warn and kick a "e" today myself, do to cussing one out and yelling at him for a RPG that went bad. all =(e)='s need to read the forums and understand them and sign off on them! Thanks! ;)

If I EVER come across an =(e)= acting like a fool, being rude, swearing, or just not living up to the standards of an =(e)=, there will be punishment. All to often I hear these types of complaints. I don't know about the other divisions but me personally, will not tolerate such behavior. Depending on the severity, they may earn a ban.

=(e)= members, you've already had your warnings when you read the rules before you signed up to join.

Listen, we want you to have fun but there is a responsibility that you must live up to when you wear the edgegamer's tag.

You should have read this both before you joined and when you read the links in your welcome post, but you are held to a higher standard than pubs. When we see you misbehaving in the server, it's not just something which will keep you from a promotion. We want to show the world that it is possible to have fun gaming while not acting like imbeciles. We are the number one clan because many people agree with this goal and are willing to help us achieve it.

As an e, you don't have to do much to actively help us with this goal. You can sit back, play on the servers and when the occasional miscreant pops his head, let an admin know and we are happy to do the rest. If there's an admin already in the server, you likely won't have to do anything at all. If you're happy with that, great! You can stay an e, do your part to help out, and everyone is happy. If you don't even want to do that, feel free to remove the tag and play on the server as a pub. We understand that not everyone wants to play a big part in our group. That's normal and I know that I personally can think of many pubs who I like that simply don't want to join eGO. There are no hard feelings.


=(eG)='s and =(eGO)='s:
When you come across an e who just cannot keep himself in check and is disrespecting the other players, you are perfectly within your rights to kick him immediately. No warning, no second-chance. Every single e in the clan should understand that they are held to a higher level than pubs, and that the purpose of the clan is to create a mature and respectful environment. When members of our clan are getting in the way of that, they need to be removed as soon as possible.

It sounds harsh, but I don't mean that we should perma-ban e's just because they forget to say "please" if they warn someone for language. I mean that if an e starts losing his temper and insults other players, he needs to be removed immediately because that is not the image we want to portray to the gaming community, especially in our servers. The tags are not a badge of immunity from our rules, they are a target which tells us that you understand the rules and have no good reason for breaking them.
 
Agreed completely. There is absolutely no reason to be rude to players. All it really takes to quell a situation, most of the time, is a "(X user here), please do not (insert offense here) on our servers. Thank you." if an admin isn't present, or hasn't noticed it. You'd be surprised how well a friendly warning works to calm someone down, and if it doesn't work, you can always call in the cavalry with Vent or admin chat.

By wearing the tag, you are representing the organization and what it stands for. If you read applications, many new members say that they're joining because of the friendly and mature atmosphere they find in an eGO server, and the respect they received from eGO members of -all- ranks. I know that's why I joined. If a member of the group is being rude and disrespectful, it tarnishes not only your reputation, but the reputation of the entire group.

As Es, we are trusted to not only follow the rules, but to represent the group with pride. We are essentially the future of this group, we are the ones that will be climbing the ladder next, and we may be the first encounter some of these people have with eGO. Let's try to act like it.

oh man this again? guys please pull it together we dont want to see you pissing around we want everyone to have fun and rules are rules to all. you read them when your joined and every time your join the server so if you do it your going to know about it.

i think that is enough on this subject, if anyone see's any e's punking off w/k/b like a pub and tell an advisor or DL and they will have "words" with said e and straighten them out.
 
im pretty sure we do have a signoff on this, but i also have seen disrespecting e's and more e's than usaul in the ban request section. its sad, they have read the rules and signed off on them so they know the rules, but still they go and piss around and make the clan look bad

I've noticed that myself on a bunch of the servers, not just INS, but in CS:S and sometimes in DoD:S
 
At least anyone above the ranks =(e)= is not being rude. That would be worst. Think of it this way. There are good =(e)= 's and bad =(e)='s. Good =(e)='s represent gold nuggets. Bad =(e)= 's represent common dirt. =(eG)= 's and =(eGO)= 's are the strainers. There's going to be more dirt than gold. =(eG)='s and =(eGO)='s filter the dirt in search of gold. Yes it's tiring and dirty looking for gold, but it's worth it in the end. I don't support rude =(e)= behavior but, it's better for them to show there true color's while there an =(e)= instead of an =(eG)=. It lets us know who will be a good =(eG)= instead of a poor =(eG)=.
 
bloodomen, that is amazing, i have never thought it if that way but its a great way to think about it.
 
I sometimes joke around in pubs when I'm feeling silly, but I've never had anyone really complain about it. There's also the minor slip-up of language that happens (I've even seen it happen to eGO's), but I always seem catch myself.

Now, I have been known to lose my temper sometimes, but it's not hard to resist the urge and just take some time to cool off. I honestly haven't seen many (e)'s acting up in the games I've played, but I can see how it can become a problem if they think that they can get away with it because they filled out an application.
 
Well, some people who join eGO don't even bother to read the rules. This is why you need to go a bit tougher on the e's since they did agree to our rules & conditions when they joined eGO & they're held up to a higher standard.

Great way of putting it Blood...
There has already been a sign off thread about this, its now a sticky I believe and is located in the eG Private section of the INS forums. If your an eG or eGO please read through forums to see if you can find the same topic before posting to avoid any more duplicate threads.

If you lose your temper just let off the K button or don't type, take your headset off, turn the speakers down ETC.
