C&C Red alert 3

Fun game. I think # 2 was better funner faster but its still a good game worth playing.

The latest CnC game I have is Tiberium Wars. It's tons of fun. Would anyone recommend getting Red Alert 3?

It's pretty good. I'm trading a C&C Red Alert 3 key akshualy, so if you're interested trade me. Check what else I got in my vault also.

Red Alert is a Great game. The problem is the online play. If you are looking for balanced games and the like Dont expect it. I play(ed) all the time and ever game is a 3v3 Magmageddon map with the first 3 spots filled up with clanners.

Every Army has distinct traitsw and offers a varying experience.

The RA world is alot more comical and Less serious then the Tiberium series. Keep this in mind if your looking for a serious RPG.

I would recommend it, the single player alone is worth the 30 dollar Price tag!

I guess it was OK. I liked the units with 2 functions, water bases, and the sense of humor, and I guess the bright graphics. The missions dragged on way too long, though. They got boring and repetitive. Also, sea battles weren't a whole lot different from land ones, except you couldn't use a few of the units.

I didn't like it that much and I got it for free. Compared to the first two Red Alert games, I thought they butchered it.

Its worth getting for $24 at Microcenter. The co-op is sweet as well as the skirmish online or off.
I think its a lot of game for the money.

EA + SecuROM + digital rights management = Epic fail.

Also, "There has also been a stated issue with a number of copies of the game shipping with the last digit of the CD Key missing from the manual. EA's initial response was to "Guess" the last digit as a workaround."

Well I didnt have those issues and found it typically slightly crazy (armoured bears?)

Anyway, overall I enjoyed but found it doesnt have much longevity in it.

In an attempt to not bash RA3....

The game is interesting, but not finished. It is very raw and unpolished. When you want to attack something, it will either end up being a giant unorganized blob of units who don't attack what you want them to when they want to, or an unorganized blob who don't attack what you want them to when you want them to.

This is the largest problem, by far. See, in games like CoH you have squads, so you have a large unit count, but they're easier to pick out and say "You guys attack the tank, you guys attack that MG, and you guys take that building there" where as in RA3, there's no squads, so you could have say 10 flak troopers (AT-AA) and 10 Conscripts (AI) and 5 Hammer Tanks, but good luck getting the Flak troops to target tanks or air, the conscripts enemy infantry, and the hammers to shoot other tanks all the same time, because that means having to double click on the unit type (So it selects across screen) and then telling them to attack an individual unit, which by the time you can click it, is dead anyway. So just blobbing your guys together and aggressive attacking everything in the way seems to work the best, and yet it still presents you with failure.

Most games try to make up for the fact that they suck at making an easy command style by making the AI of the unselected units smart enough to know what to attack and what to do in some situations, but RA3 does not, if you don't tell them what to do, they were stand there and watch themselves die because the enemy is out of range.

This, along with many other problems, including just terrible game design, leads me to wonder if the producers even put ANY time into this at all, or if they just threw money at some programmers and said, you have 4 weeks.

And it's EA...so probably the latter.

Its a nice way to unwind if you are having a bad day and your internet is down. Just for steamrolling AI that is. They butchered the rest of it like the story

well i dont know if it matters much to you but in red alert 3 they dont turn off SuperWeapons in skirmish. I enjoy very long games and then do a final assault. So in the end i feel i got ripped off.

I think ya missed the point of non-squad control. It's all about the micro, you can't just attack move and leave the units be. And yes, sometimes that means doing lots of redundant clicking to have things attack what you want it to.

I will agree that is does feel a bit unfinished (compared to RA2), and it feels rounder in a sense (idk how else to describe it, textures/drawing that is) but if you enjoy micro and lots of clicking it's a great game. And considering almost every unit has a secondary function/attack, it adds even more clicking :D
